Alex and Anwar did a good job of posting some notes ... a few things I noticed, plus a photo gallery:
Photos from Tuesday's practice
The staff continues to work on the smallest situational details. Example ... I saw the punt return guys practicing fielding punts off the bounce before we were allowed in.
Derek Kerstetter was getting some action at center with what looked like the third group. He was working with a line that consisted of Samuel Cosmi, a walk-on left guard (think it was Ishan Rison), Tope Imade and J.P. Urquidez.
No Jordan Pouncey, who was injured last week. Pouncey was off to a fast start this spring, so hopefully for his sake he's back soon.
The running backs spent a lot of time on the sled with a focus on getting low and exploding up in the pads of the defender. There was a lot of coaching going on until the guys got it right, but everyone seemed pretty pleased with the efforts of the main backs.
Andrew Fitzgerald joined Chris Nelson with a green jersey. I remember when Fitzgerald was recruited, the previous staff thought he was one of the steals of the class. That hasn't carried over yet and an injury will obviously make it difficult for him to climb the depth chart.
Kris Boyd is really vocal out there and supportive of his guys. More than any other player I've seen. He's even actively coaching up the walk-ons when they're in positional drills. Good for him.
Couple quick notes from 1-on-1 reps as I was walking out ...
Collin Johnson got a catch on Kris Boyd for a short gain on an underneath route. The defensive coaches actually praised Boyd's efforts for limiting it to such a short gain.
LJ Humprhey got behind Davante Davis and had a chance to make a play on the ball but it skipped off his fingertips. Probably should have made the catch.
John Burt blows by Donovan Duvernay for an easy TD down the field.
