Guess I can go ahead and say it now ...
There were rumors earlier this week that Texas might get a last-minute visit from a couple players (both of whom are A&M commitments). There was talk from A&M people that Texas might try to make a late run at DE Jayden Peevy and DE/TE Camron Horry.
Behind the scenes, I checked on both to be safe. I was told there wasn't anything to the Peevy talk. If you remember, he almost visited UT back in December before canceling at the last minute. I don't think Texas really ever tried to make a run after he shut things down.
Horry did tell me Texas was "trying to work" but told me on Friday he was locked in for A&M and not changing.
Also, in case you missed it last night, WR Elijah Gardiner is visiting Ohio State this weekend. Gardiner had scheduled a UT visit for this weekend shortly after Texas offered, but then canceled that trip. Ohio State came in this week and talked him into visiting, which is pretty damn impressive considering OSU hasn't even offered.
