So I’m helping my mom with my dad’s estate, and discovered he owned a bunch of stocks directly with Computer Share that he unfortunately didn’t list her as beneficiary of.
Anyway, before I can transfer the shares to her, I have to find the original stock certificates, which I’m having a hard time finding.
If they have to replace them, it’s an $80 processing fee plus 3% of the value of the stock. That’s a lot of money they’d be taking!
