And yet for reasons I can't explain I almost feel sorry for them. The SEC could have 4 teams in NY6 bowls and the cow college has to play 3 of them. And in their division the MS schools are no given only AR is a probable win for them. I don't think KY jelly deserves to be ranked we'll found when they play.

You haven’t listened to many of his press conferences. He preaches playing to the last play. If his players see him give up then what are they supposed to do. When you are building a team every play means something. I don’t fault him for it. If you score there is satisfaction in it. You want any kind of momentum you can get.
Swag....you seem so impressed that Bama has been ranked # 1 and Clemson #2, it makes me curious. You have discounted the rankings of USC and TCU,however. I grant that Bama is looking like the real deal, but we dont know if Clemson is....and there is real doubt.Maybe they will turn it on and prove out, but you never know about high early rankings. For instance, last year I seem to remember Jimbo's team starting out ranked # 3. Jimbo led that #3 ranked team to a losing record, so you never know if a staff is up to maintaining that high ranking
The aggy MO is to always praise the other team when the lose/gain a moral loss and to ride the coattails of the $EC, even when they do nothing to strengthen the conference. a&m was added to the $EC for television sets and recruiting in Texas for the conference's benefit. aggy is blind to that reality though.
The reason I mention Alabama and Clemson is because I believe they are what they are. I believe they will be ranked right there at the end of the season. I don’t think TCU and USC will be there. If at the end of the year both of those teams have 4-5 losses it cheapens the win a bit. I think Alabama and Clemson most likely end up in the playoffs again. Don’t get me wrong. I still think the TCU win and USC wins were outstanding for your program because those were game you guys would have found a way to lose..and you pulled away in both games in the end.

Not going to get into the weeds on the rest of that stuff, but this part is true...over the past few (cough 9) years those were games that would have slipped away. Maybe the corner has turned. Maybe USC & TCU suck but a win is a win is a win....to quote to the Mensa card holding Herman "winning is hard"....ask the Aggies
Clemson does not play anyone. They have the biggest cupcake schedule ever. Texas would beat them. I have no doubt. BTW, if the Pac 12 is so bad then how did aggy lose to ucla last year? What does that make aggy?
So easy to come back with you lost to Maryland and barely beat Tulsa who has won 3 games in 2 years. Of course you can say you would beat Clemson, you don’t play them. I agree with you that Clemson is the cream of the crop and the ACC isn’t that great at all this year. Aggies have lost to many in all conferences. 8-4 until proven otherwise.
That’s what I’m saying. I agree with you that those are big wins. The corner could be turning. With the talent you have it should be turning if Herman can figure it out.

Aggie is obviously riding high with triumphant losses to Clemson and Alabama. Obviously no other team can match that. But besides these two phenomenal losses of which Aggie is justifiably bragging about, who else has significant early season bragging rights ?

We can argue forever about who would win a hypothetical matchup between A&M and UT, but we won't find out because A&M won't play us. It doesn't matter what happened 5 years ago. New coaches, new regimes, new excitement. Chris Del Conte extended an opportunity, Aggies said no. So that's that. Longhorns have scoreboard and overall record, so that's what matters.
I wonder if there are any aggys honest enough with themselves (even deep down) to take notice of what’s going on at FSU this year and worry just a little bit if they bought some snake oil. FSU’s O line is atrocious. Is that a case of Jimbo taking a championship program handed to him by Bowden and running it into the ground? We shall see. Fact is, FSU wasn’t heartbroken to see him leave.

Yeah you can come back with whatever you would like......but in the end TEXAS is 3-1.....beat two ranked teams.....is ranked in the polls again.....and are trending in the right direction. Aggy is still......well....aggy.....you beat 2 teams that aren't even close to being ranked.....and im betting both TCU and SC are ranked higher than those teams will be at the end of the year.....lost to the teams Aggy were supposed to lose to......even though aggy covered the spread.....a loss is still a loss....unless your "Moral Victory U".Aggy isnt "trending" in any direction.....just stuck in neutral.

Who knows if A&M or Texas are actually good? A&M is exactly where everyone with a brain expected, 2 & 2. Played very well against Clemson, but lost. Alabama game was not close, they were so much better it was hard to really learn much. Didn't roll over, which was nice. But they could have run up the score if they hadn't played Hurts. If Alabama truly is what I think, A&M is much improved. They didn't kill us in the trenches like normal, hard to know if that is about them or us. Same for their receivers, are they all world or are we terrible in the secondary. Probably a little of both. I think we win 7 or so, too many toss up games on the road.
Texas looked horrible for 2 weeks. Then beat down a very overrated USC. But still a nice win. The TCU game turned on turnovers, but pretending like that wasn't a very nice win is nuts. As terrible as Oklahoma looked last week, there are no sure L's on the schedule. But will they play down against bad teams? I honesty am not sure if you guys "are back" or if you still suck. But I think you guys are likely better. I think you have very nice receivers and a quality defense. Still don't think you have a QB or OL, but better regardless. I think????

And no, the Big XII is not down this year. It's a very tough league (4 current ranked teams and 2 more just outside). I'd say the toughest league top to bottom. Aside from Baylor and Kansas, you can lose to anyone any weekend. Also one that you would have trouble in just like when you were here for 16 years.
Also, congrats on your loss. Put it on your wall with all of the other made up titles.

Can't believe this is still going.
I watched both games this past Saturday with Aggies and I have to say they were actually very very pessimistic about their team. We talked about the old days and stuff but kept it cordial. I did talk mess about Ole Miss and their "Landshark" defense and was told "F U" from a drunk chic that was decked out in their garb. LOL! it was funny.

So, if the Big 12 is down this year, and a&m is trending up, according to most aggys, do you think that a&m would go undefeated in the Big 12 this year if they played in it?
No. We would score a lot, but the better passing teams would eat us alive. We don't have a solid secondary. I have no idea if we could beat you guys honestly, would come down to how your QB threw the ball. Because your receivers would be a problem.
Jimbo made his whole career on keeping J.Winston eligible. If he tried that today, he would be Baylored and coaching in Italy. My prediction - 10 years of 8-4, 4-4 in conference, and a lot of trips to the Music City Bowl.

This is so funny. Just because aggy has a new patch on their uniforms, they think their old foes are push overs. Tech looked good on Saturday against a ranked opponent at their place. When was the last time aggy went to a ranked opponent and won? Isn't happening this year.

Tech played the second worst team in our division and got beat like a drum. I don't think they are any good. How they are ranked is beyond me. I didn't watch them vs. Okie lite. But my guess is that they matched better athletically than they did vs Ole Miss. Gundy is really good and really underrated, so I doubt Kingsbury outcoached him.
So.... unt>piggy>aggy. Talk about taking a beat down. Piggy got killed at home by unt. What happens when you lose to piggy this weekend? Or don't win by the margin unt won? No win situation for aggy.

Tech had a CLEAR winning record against you in the Big XII (10-6) and the only change I've seen is your secondary has downgraded. I think Kliff would put up 80 on you and not put in backups in the 3rd quarter like Bama.
