Remember a couple years ago when Briles was still at Baylor they went into their bowl game with none of their qb’s, the 3 qb’s had gotten hurt. So they converted a wr, who played qb in high school, changed their offense up a little and won their bowl game. That’s good coaching imo.
what Aggie is doing here is poor sportsmanship, no excuse. I see where the Bama OC and Oline coach have tested positive for Covid hoax but have already announced they’re coaching in the game. A&M could easily do the same. See, none of these A&M pansies have any symptoms, Jumbo is just scared to death of getting de-pantsed on national tv by Wake Forest.
And you can bet the talking heads of these bowl games will bring this up repeatedly during each bowl game telecast. I’m sure college game day crew will make fun of them too

I don't visit Texaggy, but surely they're not defending a&m pulling out of the game. Surely not. There is no defending this. The grief that they're getting on SECrant is hiliarious! It's embarrassingly obvious why Fisher pulled out of the game, and it's not due to "Covid".
This is truly unprecedented and there needs to be some repercussions . Jimbo is clearly putting his ego before the team. The kids deserve their bowl game but Jimbo is only concerned about the optics of a guaranteed win. Disgraceful

First of all, other than being a stupid thing to say, what on earth does playing the bowl game this year have to do with screwing up a potential 2022 SEC championship run next year? LOL. also, last season in the high school playoffs there were several teams that had to back out because of covid issues. i noticed that those teams were mostly teams that were going to get beat by 60. refugio didn't have covid issues. neither did southlake or westlake or shiner. but teams that were about to play those teams did. among other things, covid has provided teams that don't feel like taking the a-whoopin they're due for, an easy out.

Exactly. a&m was going to get beat by WF. Jimbo knew it and didn't want to be exposed on national television. He could have fielded a team one way or another, but he chose to tuck tail and run.

Just for reference, so Aggie doesn't attempt to justify pulling out, Oregon is down 31 players due to Opt out, injuries and covid protocol. But guess what? Oregon respects the game, respects the fact that it's their seniors last game that will live in their memories forever and Oregon also respects good sportsmanship. So, major props to Oregon, for committing to do what's right, I hope the Sooners only win by 20 now but if we don't I won't be surprised.

SEC teams are 0-3 in bowl games so far. Not that these bowls actually mean anything. Just find it interesting considering all the SEC hype as the greatest collection of college football teams in the history of college football.
