I'm sad for me but happy for Chip. Thought his breaking of the MB departure was nails. And it took some real bolls to do it... he caught crap from every corner in the room, UT, OBs, other outlets... and he nailed it.

I'm amazed that the word was out in the writer community regarding this opening and it didn't leak.
I always felt that Orangebloods having a respected former newspaper writer on staff gave it a legitimacy that most web sites did not have. I agree with Ketch that what Chip did here will allow OB to hire another well respected quality writer. Maybe we can poach John Lopez from Texags

Congratulations Chip and by all means, NEVER cease in following your dreams for that is what drives a person to greatness while some stay "safely" in mediocrity. If you have the talent to excel on a higher platform then by all means go do it. If you don't you will someday look back and think " what if". Go for it Brother and best wishes!

Congrats and good luck on your new endeavor, Chip. I've never had any desire to be a multi-site user, but I am going to have to be now.
Ketch, please re-consider looking towards the NFL. There are a thousand really good NFL message boards, but I think most people subscribe to OB for information about Longhorn sports. I think it would be much more prudent for you to focus on why we pay you for your service. If I want NFL info, I'll go to my teams site. If I want Horns info, I'll come here. Please don't change that.
