Giants have definitely been the surprise team of this season. Former Longhorn Brandon Belt has been a mainstay at first base for many years there.
No matter how you choose to spin it they will always go down as cheaters until they have a new generation of players.
Everyone cheats, they just got caught. There is lots of speculation about the Yankees cheating, the Dodgers cheating, etc. That was all 2 years+ ago. Hang out with those who still harp on it, but don't try and drag it into this year. I was disappointed and embarrassed for them when it all came out, but this is what, 85% of different players?
That’s cool but what does that have to do with 2021? That was literally 4 years ago we (UT) just hired Tom Herman.
You forgot the Sox. Also the pitchers using substance to throw. Baseball has all these weird unwritten rules. Cheating being known but not really spoken about. We cheated we got busted no spin.

Everything you said seems plausible. Just don’t use the “everyone cheats” play. It’s unbecoming.
Bought 2 tix to the Astros vs Red Sox World Series in 2004. *I had registered online for tix through the lottery that year and was fortunate enough to win. Unfortunately, the Astros were knocked out of their first chance at a WS by the Cards in the 7th game of the NLCS.
Tix for the WS were $64/ea plus (the dreaded) handling fee. Since the ‘Stros lost, the tix were voided. The kicker is, my Visa was still charged $24/ea for a “handing fee”… I purchased the tix over the phone… so, it cost me $48 for a phone call!!! Unfortunately, this scam is played out every season. MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL. 🤬

An old HS baseball teammate of mine likes to bring up the trash can banging scandal from 2017… he’s a Yankee fan. I just point out that the Astros led MLB with 863 runs scored this season. Usually shuts him up post haste.

It’s always good to find a way to explain and rationalize being a cheater. They never really needed to cheat so who cares??
I don’t think he’s rationalizing cheating. He’s saying that if you are still whining about it in 2021 he points to their scoring. They are a good hitting team this season.
So it’s not cheating. It’s actually just the other guys whining? They cheated. They didn’t need to. It was supposed to be funny. Why not just roll with it?

Can’t tell someone being funny on a thread. Sorry! You keep repeating yourself about cheating so I thought you were being serious. It’s whining when the team that’s in the playoffs right now aren’t cheating they’re just damn good. Dodger and Yankee fans whine.
