Best non Texas games week 9

Oh I’m right here sweet tits and I’ve been living on this board for years whether my team wins or loses and notice I gave credit where credit was due something you couldn’t do after the RRS. And I’m not crying for a mod safe space either

Kansas will hold the "scoreboard" on y'all for a very long time. I'll have a whiskey for you tonight.

Good ol RJ Young he always gets excited about the games and says this is critical weekend even when it's not. I don't have much for @westx. What interests me

South Carolina/a&m aggies roll
Florida/Georgia the dogs have lost Brock Bowers for the year and they've lost a lot from last year. But they should win tomorrow.
Kansas state/Houston the cats cover and will be 6/2 heading into Austin next Saturday.

Upset alert Washington State/Arizona State
Oregon/Utah going on with the Utes with my upset of the week

A game I forgot to mention
Oklahoma/Kansas have to go with the bad guys
Well I went 3/2 I guess Arizona State counts so I'm 4/2. It looks like you kicked some butt.

As I’ve said all along, OU is horribly overrated and their defense has holes all over it. This narrative that Venables has them playing defense again is absolutely laughable. They’ve barely been hanging on to win conference games and had no business being considered for CFP contention. It won’t surprise me if they lose a couple more games because of their suspect defense and midget QB.

I see Belldozer as the only one here to take their asswhipping like a man. Where are all the other sooner pussies at? Typical Jack offs shooting their mouths off when they win but shrivel up like limp dicks when they lose to a shitty KU team playing with their backup QB. So predictable.

Word on the street is that Vegetables may be ratted out by former past assistants for sign stealing. Could get interesting there in meth land. Watch for potential recruiting flips and transfer portal entries at OU.

Almost everyone around the country had OU and Texas checked off for an automatic rematch in the Big XII Championship game. Check back in a couple of weeks. It's not that far-fetched that Kansas State and Oklahoma State could be in the conference championship game.

What happened yesterday? Why couldn’t OU defeat an overmatched KU team? You agree that OU’s defense is overrated right? Is it coaching ? Scheme? Game plan? KU did pretty much whatever they wanted offensively. If they don’t get their issues figured out quickly, we’re looking at another 1-2 losses for OU.

UT has issues too, no doubt. But damn! You guys were in here talking about CFP contention and your midget QB as a Heisman candidate.

Where are the other OU dicks? We’ve only heard from two of you.

Actually they can't put you on probation for stealing signs and coaches won't have to resign. But man is sure it's fun to watch our hated rival get caught red handed.

There was a great article in the Washington Post the other day about Michigan and particularly Jim Harbaugh about the sign stealing story at Michigan. This guy has got to be the most obnoxious coach anywhere. I mean it's harder for me to hate Brent Venables than Harbaugh.

But really it's much ado about nothing.

Well, the FBI is involved so it’s actually a big deal.

The FIB needs to be on the border doing something that actually merits their intrusion. Stealing signs is as old as the game itself. I have no problem with it. If Michigan is smart enough then more power to them. I am worn out with crying over what smart people do.

That's for allegedly trying to gain access to student information. Totally different.

There's currently no laws on the books for stealing signs other than those other roads.

True, there’s no federal law against this specifically but since when did that stop the FBI? Just ask all the J6 political prisoners rotting in jail for being allowed to walk inside the capitol. My preference is the FBI stay out of this but the NCAA sure doesn’t mind them poking around.

The issue here is how the NCAA handles this. There are specific bylaws that would apply. Here’s a summary from an NCAA reporter:

“The NCAA does not specifically prohibit sign-stealing, but off-campus, in-person scouting of future opponents is prohibited by NCAA Bylaw 11.6.1. The 2023 NCAA football rule book also says that “any attempt to record, either through audio or video means, any signals given by an opposing player, coach or other team personnel is prohibited,”

The worst part of this is the punishment is not specified so the NCAA could impose whatever sanctions or punishment they believe is appropriate for universities and individuals. This investigation is also going to implicate other sign stealers so there’s going to be a lot more to this before all is said and done.

A number of reasons, but primarily it's on Offensive Coordinator Jeff Lebby. He called an absolutely horrible game. I never thought I would see anyone run more jet sweeps and bubble screens than Greg Davis, but I was wrong. Gabriel played OK, with the exception of the pick-six early in the game. He completed 76% of his passes, but only had 19 passing attempts and almost no deep routes were attempted. Hard to explain that one, except for Lebby's stupidity.

Lebby also went into the fetal position late in the 4th quarter after Ethan Downs intercepted a Jason Bean pass and returned it to the Kansas 38 yard line with just 2:29 left in the game. OU had a one point lead and only needed one first down to run out the clock and cement the win, but ended up punting it back to Kansas.

That's probably the worst game I've seen called by an OU offensive coordinator since Chuck "third and" Long back in the early 2000's.

Are you Tom Herman?

Pretty clear to me. Vegetables did it while at Clemson and did it to Texas this year.

I'll say this, I grew tp despise Riley after the Baylor loss where he got all bent at Aranda for kicking a fg at the end of regulation, but he was a hell of alot more creative on offense than Fat Lebby is. Lebby did his homework for the RRS and ats like he wants to coast the rest ofthe year, way overpaid

Come on Bell. Why’s he got to be Fat Lebby?? Never mind. I googled his sideline picture at Kansas. Part of his contract must be the meal plan at the cafeteria.

Come on bro Venables just did what Bama couldn't, flexed his D when needed.

Hey I'm beginning to think about Kansas being in the title game. They've played well this season. Their loss to Oklahoma State was down to the wire. And they didn't give up against us.

Look Lance Leipold might be the real deal. He's the only Kansas coach to have beaten Texas and Oklahoma at least once. And to beat Oklahoma with a second string qb those kids might think anythings possible those last 4 games are winnable.

The old Kansas would have given up when Oklahoma intercepted that pass with 2 minutes to. There's something different about Kansas now. I'm going to keep an eye on them the rest of the season.

True. However, the old Kansas would not be facing Jeff Lebby as OU's offensive coordinator, so OU would have probably picked up one first down and run the clock out instead of punting the ball back to Kansas. The old Kansas would have probably also have to defend more than the 19 pass attempts that OU had the entire game, and more than two passes that were thrown further than 10 yards downfield (even though the Kansas safeties were daring OU to take shots downfield the entire game).

You have informants telling you this stuff? Because I’m on the street today and not hearing a word. Nothing wrong with coaches doing their scouting thoroughly

Because he’s fat and overpaid and a slob just look at his appearance, you’d think he’d at least shave his neck pelt and appear he’s worth almost 2 million per year

It's not that you don't have any valid points but I think we should stop and give some newfound respect for Kansas football I think they deserve it.

One more thought about the Oklahoma/Kansas game. I've spoken about how the zebras are going to be really hard on Texas and Oklahoma and let the other team slide. But Oklahoma fans didn't take that seriously. Well they got called for 11 penalties on Saturday and now they have to deal with it the test of the season. That deep resentment within the Big XII about Texas leaving extends to them to.

We ain't seen nothing yet.
