Not that I agree with vax mandates, in fact I an completely against them, but this is not the first time vaccine mandates have happened in Texas. In 1898 in Laredo, the Texas Rangers broke down doors and forced people to take the small pox vaccine. When the people of Laredo refused and rioted the Texas Rangers started shooting. Just saying that it has already happened a long time ago.

Cuban said that its simple - if you don't have covid, you can't spread it. This is the kind of statement that drives me crazy. We are seeing examples of people with the vax still getting covid. We are being told that the vax lessens the severity if you do get it. But we are not being told that if you get the vax you will not get covid. (BTW - a clean test 48 hours before the game does not mean you can't catch it in the ensuing 48 hours). If Cuban's statement is true, then I go back to the basics - if you can't get it once you have the vax, then why in the world would you worry if I've been vaxxed or not? So much inconsistency. FWIW - I got the shot. Fauci and his team need to man up and say they are doing the best that they can but there are no definitive answers on any of this.

The vaccine requirements for kids that have been in place for decades include vaccines for mumps, measles, smallpox and polio. Those diseases are proven to be highly fatal for kids - up to 40% according to some studies. That scientific data has been commonly accepted for decades by scientists and everyday citizens. The push back with a Covid vaccine for kids is centered on the science and data that proves that kids are NOT in any serious danger of getting Covid or even spreading it to anyone. It's all total nonsense and an aggressive effort to usurp power by elected leaders to control and limit people's freedom. It's really not so much about the vaccine as it is inoculating young kids to get used to the idea that mandates and control over their personal freedoms and liberty are a way of life. This makes them more compliant citizens as they grow into adults.

I think it's more along these lines--

An "opportunity" arose out of chaos and emergency. The nefarious people saw this situation and said "how do I or WE take advantage of this to increase our POWER BASE?"
So they started throwing sh!t up against a wall as fast as they could, to see what would stick. It wasn't "organized" but lots of it was "coordinated".
Let me give you an example. The house speaker is Nancy Pelosi. Most powerful woman in congress. She's from California, and she wants control of as much of California as possible to solidify her legacy. But California is a state, and she is a Federal official.
So--- she turns to her nephew, Gavin Newsome, the governor of California, to get him to implement plans that help consolidate HER power as well as increase his hold Californians. Who wouldn't want to be governor of California for 6 terms?
Now you look at the east coast, who have handled covid responses eerily similary to California-- you know, kinda like they were communicating with each other to have a coordinated response.....
The governor of NY, Cuomo, actually got the media to let him come on NATIONAL LIVE TV DAILY to give updates about his efforts to save NY. Nobody else got this treatment. Not Texas, Cali, Florida-- just NY. Now call me crazy, but that wasn't about ratings, it was about the media GIVING him power and control because they were marching in lock step with his agenda.

Because of this, the media was willing to cede a certain amount of power and influence to certain politicians-- and the politicians leapt at the opportunity--- all the while watching other politicians to see how to best consolidated their hold on power, and then implementing those tactics (ham handedly at times) in their own sphere of power. And once someone gets drunk on power, there's no turning that spigot off. You think heroin or meth or cocaine or booze can grab someone and drown them?
