Chicago kidnapping.... Media bias

It has received shit for coverage compared to similar incidents on the flip side, it doesn't fit the narrative our media outlets care to portray. They're not going to push it or go on about it for days or weeks or even months.

It is a hate crime, thankfully all involved have been arrested.... Very different from a negro boy getting shot after robbing a store and trying to reach for an officer's gun which got him killed leading to protesters taking to the streets to riot. It's truly different strokes for different folks.

Is that not PC? Oops. I didn't use the term of endearment that the "black" community uses but NO one else can. Should I say black boy? or, is it just boy?

It don't get caught up in the PC bullshit

Yeah that word isn't used in modern day.
I'm over 40 and my grandparents still use it. Like I said, I don't get caught up in PC and I don't live in a bubble. Best part, I'm damn sure not racist, but since I used a term somebody doesn't like....they'll call me one. Merica

I wouldn't say you're racist just behind times. African American and black are probably a more up to date used word.

"I don't get caught up in PC and I don't live in a bubble."

I'd say if you use the word negro you do live in a bubble.

It was more to prove a point of how folks look at things than who I am, I try not to reference a person's skin color in my daily dealings/everyday life.

That one word meant more to several folks than the entire topic.

As for behind on times, this interest me. It's like folks wanting to rewrite history books or exclude events and change the bible to fit their way of life.

Tex I was just giving you a hard time. I just don't see that word much anymore. Carry on.

Hey fellas...wanted to get in before the imminent thread lock. :) Happy New Year..!!!

As to the OP, watching the media contort and reluctantly call this what it is....the stuff they doth protest often.....is quite entertaining.

I've seen the media covering this. It's so hate motivated they really have no other choice. I think we'll see more acting out as Jan. 20 approaches and then a steep decline in my humble opinion.

Nah, it's not considered "political" over here as long as it furthers the Fox News aggrieved white man/this country isn't the way it used to be talking points.
I thought about entertaining this....not worth it. It's always the fault of the person on the other side of the political aisle for you.....regardless of topic. Happy New Year....and congrats on the new coach. I think he's going to do well.

I'm not the one whining about things in this thread. That's you guys. I just hope for your sakes the white man can finally get a break in this country one of these days. Fingers crossed.

I was merely pointing out my interest in the reaction of the media that created these monsters.

It is. I've seen it all over the news but what I think you are saying is why we're not hearing it as a hate crime or people are not protesting. You won't see a protest.
If this were a common thing that a lot of people were sick and tired of, you'd see a protest.

Cool. I was merely pointing out how hard white people have it and how it's terrible we can't use the word negro in polite society anymore and how the media props up those uppity people.

At least you didn't talk about Dog Whistles or Nixon. Progress....I guess.

That's exactly what I was talking about. Wishing it was the 1950s in this country again. And uppity black protesters whining about being killed by cops. And the darn media for giving them a voice.

Whoa! Grandaddy are you Tex Ex Spur?
I was just about to say that. SMH. Why not just call him an African American kid but negro is excessive.
These 4 needs their butt whoop. It doesn't matter what nationality you are, this is wrong. This type of stuff has been going on for a long time but technology has caught up. Sad to say, we will see more in the years to come. People still has racist views, people want to be Internet famous. Once everyone shows love to all, we will be in a better place. ITS CALLED, HOME TRAINING.

Their mistake was broadcasting it on Facebook. Otherwise, it could have been successfully buried by the MSM as a non-story since it didn't show the approved narrative of horrific white-on-black crime.

People who cry racism on everything are wrong.

People who says there is not racism are wrong.

This media being made out as liars over anything you disagree with makes you the problem. I think people don't know the difference between REPORTING NEWS and News commentary.
