More than any other quandary our nation faces – indeed, the principal source of most of the problems our country faces – is Washington DC. The highest per capita wages in the United States are those counties in Virginia and Maryland whose commuters work as bureaucrats, lawyers, lobbyists, judicial clerks, legislative staffers, and other worthless individuals who would not be needed or wanted by the vast majority of Americans if they were all teleported to Jupiter tomorrow.

So much of this problem is structural. The extra-Constitutional Administrative State is a Marxist beachhead that enables disenfranchisement of the people while at the same time enabling the ruling class elites to preserve a status quo that enriches them and enhances their hegemony to the detriment of vast swatches of the nation.

As 'Consent of the Governed' has been yielded to 'rule by experts and professionals' resentment and cynicism have only grown. What the hell did they expect? Under Obama, the Administrative State was ultimately engaged as Progressives have always intended: an instrument of control without Constitutional accountability. The battle to take back power from the entrenched status quo and restore Constitutional accountability has begun. The early going shows the fight will be viscous and likely long.
