(Posted as a reply in the Hierarchy thread, but I thought deserved its own thread)
Conservatives want a world of plenty for all. They wish freedom, and free enterprise for all peoples. Creation of increasing wealth.
Liberals want government control of the means of production, and for the people to be dependent on the government. Redistribution of wealth.
We have clear history on the two philosophies, just look at Germany after WW II.
East Germany was run by the Liberal philosophy while West Germany was run by the conservative philosophy. The results were remarkable, and should be an obvious lesson on the results of both philosophies. West thrived, East withered.
Philosophies like Liberalism thrive because of their happy, optimistic dreams of equality, and success for all, yet cannot provide that outcome because of the "disincentivising" of productivity.
Conservatism works because it "incentivises" productivity, increasing it greatly compared to Liberalism.
History shows us over, and over that Conservatism is far superior to Liberalism.
