QB Jake Wright (St. Thomas, Houston) has led a late season revival of the Crusaders’ fortunes, after decisive early season losses to Bethel and arch rival Hardin-Simmons University (twice). The third time was a charm for UMHB, defeating locals Trinity and then Hardin-Simmons — in their third matchup of the season — on the road to the national quarterfinals, where they meet Johns Hopkins at noon today. Quite a turnaround.
