1-9 UMass visits aggyland. Aggy probably gets a W, but, man, if UMass upsets them, Hitler is gonna be pretty irate!

By the 3rd quarter, with cold, wet weather, the crowd morphed into a barren wasteland.
Reporters asked some aggy players if the sparse attendance bothered them. One said he didn't care, whether there's 100k, 1000 or 100 in the stands. It has no effect on him who's in the stands.

I saw an aggy post saying that the stands were full until halftime when rain and cold made fans leave. If so, I thought the "12th man" mantra was to stand and be ready to help the team. 89,000 fans must have given up on that idea.

Yep. That was pretty much the kiss of death for Mullen and Harsin. It’s forgivable if you lose but recruit at a high level. But you Can’t suck at both.
Yep. Herman included. When he started losing the studs that’s when the BOR and CDC said nope. When you lose credibility to close a deal with your client base it’s time to move on.
Herman’s problem was multi fold really. Recruiting had fallen off, the top recruits he had brought in hadn’t really reached potential. Plus there were several incidents where he just demonstrated a lack of maturity. So I think he had a lot things going against him.
I mean look how the high 4 star and 5 star players Sark has brought in Worthy, Banks, Sanders etc. they came in and made an impact right away. Herman didn’t really have any of those guys. Think that hurt him too.
Saw a YouTube clip by a WV fan discussing who could be their next coach. He said Gary Patterson, Tom Herman or Jimbo Fisher. Said there were 2 private flights from Austin and 1 from Collie Station recently to WV. He favored Herman, but said no way to Fisher.
One of my best friends has several cousins who are CFB coaches. He told me it’s pretty well known that Herman is a grade A jerk/douchebag. He burned a lot of bridges and I’m sure CDC + boosters were tired of him.
Yeah that was another thing. I’m not sure he had many people in his corner at the end. And that matters especially when it comes down to are you going to get one more year or not.
