He was a backup on the unranked Aggie team that beat Bama in 2021. Transferred to New Mexico State for the 2023 season and switched to TE. Portaled to Vanderbilt for 2024 as his graduate senior year. Caught twice as many passes (6) for Vanderbilt than Ryan Williams did for Alabama (3). Stowers outgained Williams in yardage too, 113 to 82. So Stowers has been on two extreme underdog teams that upset Alabama.
