Former Utah punter visiting Texas today

We can confirm that Utah punter transfer Jack Bouwmeester is visiting Texas today. A ProKick Australia guy, Bouwmeester was a two-time all-conference punter while at Utah. He was a Ray Guy Award finalist last year.

Some stats from this year ...

• Totaled 60 punts, leading the Big 12 in the regular season (14th in Power Conferences) with an average boot of 44.7 yards.
• Thirteen of his punts went for 50-plus yards, with a season-long 62-yarder coming at UCF along with 60-yard punts against both Baylor and Arizona.
• Pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line at least twice in the final six games and nine overall, including five times vs. BYU.
• Two punts at Houston went for 50-plus yards (long of 54), pinning the Cougars inside their own 20-yard line twice.
• Dropped two punts inside the Baylor 20-yard line and sent three attempts for 50-plus yards.
