@HALOMAN and other level headed geopolitical folks, what do you think about the Vinson patrolling the South China Sea? Right move? Is it the best way to handle China?
IMO China cannot be allowed to claim the waters around their man made islands. The US is the only country that can, and should in my mind, stop them. But, making China lose face is not the best long term strategy.
So, is this the right move? Maybe it's the only move?
I realize this should have been handled when China started dredging but let's not turn this into an Obama screwed up thread. It's about how to deal with it now.
