Spears or bombs, carnage is carnage. This has been disgusting to watch. There have been plenty of other wars in my life but those involving the USA were clouded by patriotism. Many others were involving less competent armed forces or less engaged journalists and flew under the radar. War is more disgusting than anything else we do. Incompetently prosecuted war is more disgusting than competently prosecuted war. Wars among Christians are particularly disgusting for me, but that is just an emotional response. This was very much like a Caesar or Alexander type thing. Is it time we no longer idolize them? They were not doing the best for the people they were entrusted to rule throwing them into war.
