Farley has a problem with remembering the general perception about games. If ND loses to Texas I can't wait to hear the excuses.

Two points:

It's apples & oranges. Game 1 is way different in attitude & desire compared to an at-large Bowl game.

If Texas wins you won't here excuses from me. I (along with most ND fans) am harder on ND than opponents are on us. We point the finger directly at our own team. (Sometimes too harshly even.) ND is big boy program. No excuses, no crying, just play big boy football.

Yea cml don't let FACTS get in your way. I GUARANTEE if I look through the bcs games I can find bigger upsets based on rankings, point spreads ( these are silly but if we are getting technical), etc. But hey if ESPN has it #1 it must be right? Give it up man lol

What has happened here is a disagree that Utah beating Bama is the biggest upset in history as stated. Now you are making comments negative towards ND (as if ND has anything to do with Bama/Utah) to try to make me angry. Then add a rolling laughing thing.

All to try to upset me? I'm not 12.

The "fact" that most people remember that upset more than the Utah vs Bama game ..... IS the point. I'm sure there are a few more upsets but trying to convince yourself that ou vs Boise st is NOT one of the biggest if not THE biggest upsets in the BCS bowl era is just idiotic. If you want people to believe the BS you are spewing then take it to the OU boards where they actually believe that crap......it's not working here on a TEXAS board for damn sure. In my circle it IS the biggest upset ever....cant go into the bowl season without that game being talked about as "the biggest upset" in BCS history. Again you got games labeled "biggest blowouts in bcs history" and again ou pops up.....then you have "greatest BCS Bowl games ever" and TEXAS pops up a few times. Of course no sooner fans wants to admit that.....because sooners are gonna sooner. Come on legacy....do a little research and step into the light and out of the trailer park bud.

I still think ND wins, I just think both teams score more points now with ND losing guys on D (injury & suspension) & my belief now ND's offense will be really good.
My updated prediction would be 37-28.

Biggest blowout - OU vs USC. Might I add most embarrassing. Most OU fans haven't even watched Sooner highlights of that game.

Biggest upset - OU vs Boise State. Not because OU was supposed to be head and shoulders better than Boise State, but really only because it was the first time a non-BCS team won a BCS bowl game over a traditional powerhouse.

But runner-up might be OU vs Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Alabams was the two-time returning national champion, undefeated all year and headed back to the SEC Championship and likely BCS Championship until a historic missed field goal return for a 110 yard TD put them in New Orleans against an OU team with a myriad of problems, the least of which was using three QBs to win Bedlam and secure a berth in the game.

I'll admit I might be jaded on this some, but absolutely no one, not even the most diehard Sooner fans, thought we'd beat Alabama that night.

Here is an interesting stat. Going by the point spread, the OU/Boise spread was not even in the top 5 in the bcs era. Those dang pesky facts. But hey if ESPN ( who as everyone knows hates the big 12) says it's the biggest it must be true.

I should have clarified, my Coach Rudy comment was in reference to last year, the Horns had lost 4 games heading into the RRR against OU, as you can imagine there was a lot of grumbling from fans, regents etc. about Strong et al. After they beat OU, they hoisted Strong on their shoulders, very reminiscent of the scene from Rudy.

I agree with most of your picks. I differ in the following:
UCLA beats aggsy 34-21
UNC beats dawgs 42-28
USC still loses to bama but, not by much 28-24
Texas beats ND 38-31
