Houston vs OU

"I'm stating it's a matter of opinion with us, however if you go by facts it isn't even in the top 5. Why do you give Ou so much thought? I know the season hasn't started but dude come on. We have argued all day over who has been the biggest bcs upset lol."

I still don't get where you are coming from.......that upset is "for fact" one of the biggest upsets EVER bar none. You may not want to believe it but it IS a "minimum" a top 5 all time upset in the BCS Bowl era and more than not see it as the number 1 upset ever in BCS bowl history. And why are you giving TEXAS so much thought posting on a LONGHORN board.....I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and tell myself you didn't actually know you were on a TEXAS board and you just got lost between ou and sooner message boards. It's alright it happens to ou fans every now and then....the Obsession with TEXAS runs deep everywhere.....it happens all the time. :D

Look up its called rivals, kind of like there are several Texas guys on sooner scoop and other Oklahoma boards. I tend to just post on whatever board is interesting at that time

Sorry bud.....I don't post on "rival" boards.
I don't feel the need to get involved in a discussion with a rival that is gonna view a glass half full when I view it half empty. Only reason I messed with you today is because you were spewing your non sense opinion on a TEXAS board. I just figured (like myself) you had nothing better to do and it was all in fun anyway. Good luck on the season except against TEXAS

I agree with most of your picks. I differ in the following:
UCLA beats aggsy 34-21
UNC beats dawgs 42-28
USC still loses to bama but, not by much 28-24
Texas beats ND 38-31

I was conflicted on A&M/UCLA. Was going with UCLA but then I was listening to CBS sports radio in the car earlier & they were talking to a handicapper who was predicting the spreads. He picked UCLA plus 3.5 but the host told him it was A&M plus 3.5 which caught his attention. He said that is meaningful, because UCLA should be a 7 point favorite at a neutral site, 3.5 at A&M.

So he says Vegas knows something about the two teams we don't so he was switching to A&M.

Since I had it even I decided to go with Vegas. Lol

It is hard to argue with the Vegas odds makers. I was going off of all of the internal strife in the aggsy coaching staff and team. They just got a new OC after losing two top QBs in one season. You never know when this stuff works for you or against you

Again just an opinion. One of the only reasons its thought of that way is because people think Ou is invincible lol. Contrary to popular belief, Ou guys are only human

Well maybe Applewhite is learning something from Herman. He has been pretty abysmal at his previous stops at Texas, Alabama etc.. It must be bad if Horn fans were ready for him to leave.

Most people think Applewhite's results at Texas were from Mack Brown's meddling issues.

Sumlin is gone with anything less that 9 wins. I'm not going to argue buyouts or whatever because it will happen if that's the case.

I've got to see if the Ag defense can stop the run and if the OL is at least average before I'd think A&M does any better than 8-5 this year

Any more game predictions?

A lot to choose from?

I will throw mine out.

Stanford 45
KSU 17

OU 45
UH 28

LSU 31
Wisc 20

UCLA 30
A&M 31

UNC 35
Georgia 38

USC 17
Bama 34

Clemson 41
Auburn 21

ND 30
UT 17

FSU 34
Ole Miss 31

Man I didn't know that FSU/Ole Miss were playing and I didn't know about UNC/GA either shame on me. I have the same final score for KSU/ST and were about the same on OK/Cougar high except I have OK with 38. I hope Clemson beats the stone cold h*** out of Auburn. It was complete and total fluke that Auburn came so close to winning the nc three years ago. Also their coach is overrated. I have a&m/UCLA as a tossup and unless the new SC coach is a legend in the making this one could get ugly.

You better pray Texas beats Oklahoma this year or will be fresh out of smack lol. Or perhaps you can USC or Boise to brag if that happens idk.

Na. Just because that's what you guys do......not our style.

Last year and even this offseason your fans had to jump on ISUs back since you couldn't get the job done vs us.

If we lose to you, well we simply lose to you. Not many, if any, of us here spend our days looking for attaboys on OU sites. But you are right, if I was that insecure and lived on an OU site...in years where we lost to OU...I just might be relegated to have to go with "other" smack.

Your team lost to Texas. Didn't just lose, but got blown off the ball by a 1-4 team when you had NC hopes. Own it. No need to resort to changing the subject to hypotheticals about the future because you don't want to talk about the here and now. No need to put down people when they call scoreboard on a UT site.....by telling them how bad their smack will be if poor lil tu loses to the mighty OU this year. That is simply not how scoreboard works my friend.

Jsto you know I'm one of the first to give Texas their due for winning last year. However for some of your fans to make fun of Ou for being blowout by OTHER teams in the past is plain silly considering Texas owns some of the worst losses in RRR history. That's all I was saying.

Two points:

It's apples & oranges. Game 1 is way different in attitude & desire compared to an at-large Bowl game.

If Texas wins you won't here excuses from me. I (along with most ND fans) am harder on ND than opponents are on us. We point the finger directly at our own team. (Sometimes too harshly even.) ND is big boy program. No excuses, no crying, just play big boy football.
You won't hear any excuses out of him at all. In fact, you won't hear sh!t. Right up until him and some of his SOF buddies unsheath their knives and cut your throat while you sleep peacefully in your bed whilst they video it all with their PRD's and then post it on a secure thread. That's how the 24th rolls bro- Tier 1.....

Cool story. But you are doing the exact same thing in this very thread in other ways. Just pointing it out.

I actually think you are a decent OU fan. And pretty realistic. Scoreboard is what it is. If you lose in a calendar year and you don't like fans pointing it out.....maybe you shouldn't live on that schools messageboard.

And my two cents, is if you're gonna dish it...you gotta be able to take it. Someone points out scoreboard. No need to go all retro and talk about 1990whatever or talk about predictions for the future. You simply say, yeah you beat us last year. Thats how scoreboard works.

Mack Brown's Texas owns some of the worst blowouts to OU. Most Texas coaches got maybe one chance to lose big to the Sooners. Mack did it often.

The two things I will watch when it comes to OK.

Their defense lost their three best players, Sanchez, Tapper and I think Alexander are all gone. Last year they got a lot of mileage with players who succeeded at one thing. With Sanchez he had knack for making int at the best possible time but he was a liability as a tackler. I've gone on and on about Eric Striker being a one trick pony.

What worries me about them this year is that this time they may build their d around a guy who has the complete game and not being a specialty player. Their recruiting was good in 2015 and on signing day a 5* lb de committed from ND to OK. They also got Baylor's top two defensive recruits after Briles got fired so it would be foolish for any of us to think they wont have some top talent and that's fine by me so long as they don't develop until October 9th.

Lastly I don't think you can understate Sterling Shepard's value to their team. Baker Mayfield and Bob Stoops got all the headlines but without question SS was their best player the Big XII had the three best receivers in the country last year. Everybody knew about Coleman and Doctson but SS was the other one. Let me put it another way. He missed their last 5 games in 2014 and they lost three of them two of them blowouts where they didn't have a single td pass. Last year when OK closed their season against the Big XII's best he had like 5 td passes in three games. He had one of their td's in the OB and set up their other with a big play. Clemson shut him out in the second half and their offense was pretty much null and void after that. Clearly someone has to step up or otherwise a good defense can collapse on Perine and the woman beater.

But like I said there's no question they have a better team than cougar high. Once again

OK 38
cougar high 31

The tryst with the trainer didn't help him any, either.

To play devils advocate. I bet he had fun with her. It cost him dearly. But he and his wife obviously figured it out. I happened to be in the hospital a few months back when his wife gave birth......a good portion of the UH offense showed up to give him props and take photos with the fam.

Didn't you say that when nobody was looking you gave the baby a pen and helped the baby give you it's first autograph or am I getting you confused with someone else on here? Awkward

Definitely not me. But thanks for your usual concern about all things me. Good to know my stalker still loves me. And that he is still making sh!t up.

"Alabama got smashed a few years later by Utah. That game is the greatest upset in BCS HISTORY."

I think Boise state vs ou was the greatest upset in BCS HISTORY not Utah vs Bama.....but since ur an ou fan I wouldn't want ou to have that label along with biggest loss in BCS Championship history vs USC either=)roll
shit ou has been embarrassed numeral times how about by southern cal and then Texas goes the very next year and kicks southern cal ass in their own back yard then their basketball team got embarrassed it must be fun to be gooner

Been doing a little research on Houston. Their losses mirrored OU's losses from last year (top three defensive players, a couple OLine starters). Which means I think OU has more success than I previously expected.

Going to change my prediction to:

OU - 56
UH - 28

I do believe OU scores a bunch more than I previously thought. I also won't be surprised if Houston scores more than 28. Ward is the real deal at QB.

Homerish? Maybe. We'll see on Saturday if I was foolish or not.

Must really chap you Longhorns off with Oklahoma in the top 5 and Texas no where to be found. Hope you start winning again though cause we don't want Strong fired. Tommy Herman is coming to Ohio State when Urban finishes up with a couple more titles.

Still surprised Houston would be up 33-17 right now?
