If Texas gets Hudson and Cobb

Yep, it sure is, but still, in spite of it, it's not always easy to convince kids to get that fired up to play a 1-4 team. It's insane to think but it happens. When all the talking heads and vegas are talking like OU already won the game just by stepping on the field. STUPID. just like bama kept talking about how their kids heads just werent in the game against OU. But no, im not full of anything, i recognize this happens to different teams every year. This has just been my experience, it happens at all levels in all sports when humans are involved. Coaches definitely have it on them to get their team prepared and keep their minds sharp all week long, because, hell, even iowa state can beat you 24-0 if you dont show up and give it your all.

7-5 to 8-4. I think we lose to ND and at least 3 more due to special teams, young guys and lack of depth. It will be a good year if we don't have a ND, TCU, or Iowa State repeat. In 2017 year if we don't win 10 I don't see how Strong survives.

Maybe, possibly, they get a trip to the cotton bowl instead of the orange bowl, but that's about the difference it made, so it's not quite the sting you wold hope.

Texas only has 25 upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) and they're not the bulk of talent. They're still a year away from what I think will be their first really good season in a long-long time. Shane is going to need time yo develope but I can see 7-8 wins on the schedule.

Great class last year, even better class this year. Talent is starting to come back to level of the teams that were winning 10+ games a year. Thing thing that should scare the crap out of people is Strong pulled these class in with poor seasons. This year we are looking at an 7-8 win season.

My basis and the basis ALL Longhorn fans are using is simple......last years class was awesome....this years class could be even better.....we finally have an OC and Offense that is built for the talent we have......Buechell and Ehlinger look like the QBs we have been needing at Texas.....ALL the talent at Texas is young and showing they CAN play....it is just scratching the surface with this team.

Texas was physically the better team than OU last year. OU got manhandled. Which is what the RRR is always about, physical game won/lost in the trenches. All those guys are back and bigger and better. Texas is vastly improved on offense and at the skill positions. I'm not concerned about OU and will not be surprised when we beat them by a couple TDs plus.

Givingtree Texas did manhandle Ou last year , but Texas wasn't the better team ( obvious by the way the season played out). As always regardless of how bad or good each team is, RRR will be a slugfest. I expect Texas to be improved, but still a middle of the conference type team
