It's time to Fire Tom Herman......

This is an idiotic statement. Just posted a new thread on this. Last year we did not suffer a single debilitating injury and went 5-7 (3rd losing season in a row). This year we have lost I believe 4-5 OL (lost count) and are still poised to finish better than last year. Can't expect a man to work a miracle in one season. My God Washington...you are crazy...

I don't see our team being better next year. We lose ford, hill, elliot, malik. OL will be the same as we played tonight. Gotta coach'em up and we aren't. Call it like I see it.

I have a feeling at least 2 of those come back. Poona's tweet after the Baylor game made me think. I bet they stay. None of those guys are taken in the 1st round this year. If they stay and we have a better season, they are all 1st rounders. That's more $ in their pockets.

Anyone heard of sarcasm? In the game thread, I heard people talking of TH's tenure potentially being short lived and going after ISU's coach. Do changes need to be made, yes? But I'm not crazy.

How is having a bad defense last year to having one of the best this year not "coaching them up"? I can't argue about the offense being horrible, but, at least there is an explanation. If next year we are still horrible on offense, then you may have a point, but, give me a break.

First game o was bad with non injured o-line. Dam about to break on defense. We are a 5-7 team.

Eh, yes Orlando for hc. Kingsbury for oc.

Why in the world would you want Orlando as HC? He would then need to hire a DC, and I am not sure there is one as good as him for Texas. What has been clear to me the last four to five years is that it's the people around the HC at is Texas that other coordinators are what drives success/failures. I do firmly believe that TH can run this team, but to lose TO from DC would be a huge mistake. TB at OC, I would be just fine with letting him go. TH needs to surround himself with the best.

At the end of the game the announcers were talking about the conversation they had with coach Herman last night. He told them with the offensive problems they've had he had his doubts about this game. I guess I'm just going to have to live with this the rest of the way.

Our defense played their hearts out. I was afraid that last td was going to happen the way it did.

But hey I'm not going to give up. If I can still be hopeful after the last 7 years I can get through this ☺

His directnal is doing better than ours and will go bowling, while we sit, but you're right

He inherited an incredible QB and they've beaten a bunch of nobodies.

Here is who USF has beaten: San Jose State, Stony Brook, Illinois, Temple, East Carolina, Cincinnati, Tulane, UConn, and they lost to Houston.

Here is who Texas has lost to: Maryland, USC, OU, OSU, TCU. You think USF would have just one loss and have the wins that they do with that schedule? USF would get smoked by all of the teams that Texas lost to.

Texas is better off with Herman vs Strong. I'm willing to give him at least three years before saying he is or is not the guy to get the job done.

What? We scored 41 points in that game. And in case nobody noticed, the D was fixed on game 2.
We scored 3 TDS on defense and special teams against Maryland. Offense only scored 20 points against Maryland. It wasn’t awful but wasn’t good.

Bottom line. Herman needs to stop making excuses about how he can’t call plays from the sideline and call plays next year, or hire a Stromg OC who can develop the talent we do have on offense. Yes the O line is a factor but it’s not everything. Almost every player that was on the offense last year has taken a major step back this year. The opposite of whst happened on defense. Herman/Beck have to answer for that.

USF is a pretty good team. Yeah I think they could beat and would beat some of those teams. So could UCF and Memphis for that matter.

and offer $20MM to Saban. There you go. Problem solved.
Saban is near the end of his career. If your going to offer that sort of deal to someone I’d be looking at Dabo, Chris Peterson, James Franklin, Justin Funte. Those guys are the future. Saban while still great is probably out within 3-5 years.

You seriously think that USF would beat Maryland, USC, OU, OSU, or TCU?

The only team they would have a chance to beat is maybe Maryland. Your cheerleading for Strong is ridiculous.

They would win at least two of those games. Yes

Oh so you know for a FACT USF would win at least two of those games, lol? Tell me - who would they beat?

You sending Strong a Christmas present this year?
Why is it crazy to think they’d win 2 of those games? You see upsets evver week in college football Iowa just beat Ohio stste by 40. Baylor who hasn’t won a game all year took OU to overtime. Anyone can beat anyone. Theybwould win a couple of those games. They’d beat Maryland and I’d give them a good shot in an OU and TCU games.

Gotta go back to the Strong lover stuff when you can’t win an argument huh? I know you hate Stromg for whatever reason but fact is we’re in the same spot with Herman we have been with Stromg the last few years. Struggling to get to 6-6. You may like the way we’re losing better this year but we’re still losing. Will it improve from here? We will see but to act like that’s a forgone conclusion is crazy. Your view that Herman is a massive upgrade over Strong isn’t supported by results right now,and continuing to call me a strong lover isn’t gonna change that I don’t know if your hatred for Strong is personal or what but you’ll be a lot happier if you get over it.

By the way this isn’t about USF either. I’d give UCF and Memphis a couple wins in those games to.
