Oh......... my friend......... if you think for a split second that aggy is going to get caught paying players with HUD money (federal funds from Housing and Urban Development) again, or even send off a tiny scent of cheating, you're wrong. These dudes are going to have a paper trail a mile long and will wash and scrub their illegal deeds so well that there won't be a peep of impropriety. It'll be like in the movies when soldiers are walking into a possible ambush saying "it's quiet...... too quiet."

That's how you'll know aggy is cheating.

As has been well documented, numerous times. The only school not caught cheating during the 80's in the SWC was Rice.

That sir, is accurate.

But some were punished more than others......

I'm looking at you smu.

Obsession? Why doesn’t Texas use their money and hire a national championship coach?
So your line of thinking is spend the money and ag will win/play for a NC? So what happens if you don’t and how long till you get there? I think you’ll see the same thing happen there that happened at Florida St this year. Four years from now fans talking shit to Crab daddy for not enough success and him firing back at them. Ag has never won one so now let’s see if they can buy one. Time will tell.

He's right, everybody. No more sports talk between Longhorns on the Longhorns sports board. Especially mean talk that hurts aggy feelings.

The odds of a Jimbo winning a title at A&M aren’t great. Just to much competition in his own conference to think he has a great shot, but hey kudos to them for going out making a splash and doing whst it takes to get their guy.

I have a feeling if Texas moves on from Herman at some point they are gonna bust out the checkbook and money whip somebody to... either that or Herman is gonna have a great next couple years and get a pretty significant raise.

JB on Hornsports posted that aTm had been in the secsecsec 6 years and STILL hasnt played Georgia.....can that be right? What kind of conference is that anyway?

Uhhhhhh........... I think you get to play only one member of the SEC east each year. So by year 8, methinks they will have played Georgia. Let me check their schedule.

Yeah the SEC scheduling is all jacked up.. if they aren’t in your division you rarely play them.

@oldhorn2 so I checked and yes, aggy only plays one member per year from the sec east. In 2018 they play kentucky, which will be a good thin because aggy also plays Clemson in the nonconference game. That will be ugly..... and in 2019 they play in Athens.
In 2020 they start all over again with mizzu.
2021 against florida.
2022 south Carolina, and so on.

so they only play 7 conference games a year? I guess that leaves a little room for New Mexico Politechnic etc.

We play the West and South Carolina every year. The 8th game rotates every year with a random SECE team.

2019 is going to be beyond brutal: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, South Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi State, & Ole Miss. Dumbasses will be ready to fire Jimbo after that.

lucked out with South Carolina being SEC East permanent game.
Better than Georgia or Florida, for sure. They beat Michigan in a Jan 1st game. Not that lucky. Wish it were Vandy, Kentucky, or Missouri.

Would New Mexico Politechnic beat Baylor, Kansas, or ISU in a normal year?

Kind of funny ragging on our schedule when the AAC had more players drafted last year than the Big 12.

The way you guys and your head coach acted after beating a decent Missouri team was good material.

When will the Big 12 won a playoff game?

Typical $EC idiot aggy cheerleader. When will a&m win any kind of meaningful championship? When/if that EVER happens, THEN run your mouth. Until then, sit down, shut up and know your role. aggy doesn't get to sit at the big boy table.

let's see-- ole miss will be in yr 3 of whatever penalty they get, so there won't even be any leftover talent. miss state just lost the only reason they were ever competitive-- been a solid 5 yrs. fact about the mississippis-- secsec likes to prop them up as perennial powers akin to auburn, while they are actually closer to vanderbilt historically. arkansas is basically kansas state. south carolina? see the mississippis, but with a better current coach (love ya Boom). lsu will be in year 3 of coach o, which is to say a low-speed car crash. which leaves auburn (hit & miss), alabama, clemson and georgia. which are kinda like saying, ohhhhh, oklahoma, USC and okie state. throw in a tcu and a west virginia maybe, and yeah it would sound daunting. and yeah the record will reflect the struggle. and yeah there will be some frustration with the coaching.

How stupid can you be? We are no good but our conference is.

So you count Okie State as a power, but not LSU or Auburn. South Carolina is only good because of their coach, see TCU and Okie State. Kansas State will be Kansas lite the day the great man retires. There is a reason WVU is not in the SEC as well.

No. And ISU would whip your team.

Put it on your stadium wall why don't you.

Celebrating a winning season and bowl win over a trash talking SEC team is reasonable.

When will the Big 12 won a playoff game?
When will A&M ever win something significant? In any major sport?

All of this brash talk for $EC homers, when that conference isn't even the best one.
It is too top heavy, and the BIG10 was probably better this year. But year in year out the SEC is the best. Two teams in the championship game is pretty good. I'd bet the NFL draft is lead by the SEC again, just like every year for the last decade and a half. Pretty good for a conference that is in a down cycle, due to poor coaching in my opinion.

Bob............ how do I put this in terms that you'll understand.....?

Ok, I got it.

One Saturday evening, you and your room mate Kyle decide you're going out on the "town" in collystation. You dawn your only clean marroon shirt and then strap on your finest pair of overalls. The two of you head out to the Dixie chicken for a night filled with piss warm beer and the passing around if the jizz jar. In between games of pool and you taking on the "arm wrestling machine" (you macho man, you) in the door walks an incredibly attractive woman who's obviously gotten lost on her way from Dallas to Houston. As she wades through the crowd of drunken aggys and discarded sheep carcasses to ask the bartender for directions back to civilization, you notice your friend Kyle (who's still a brush popper but a way better looking one than you) slide up next to her and start chatting her up. An hour goes by, and then two. Kyle has completely forgotten you even exist as you sulk in the corner flicking peanuts like a football across the room. You notice that the young lady excuses herself to go to the female sheep ro....errr ladies room, and that' when Kyle comes and tells you that he's taking her back to the dorm room. You have two choices-- find another place to sleep, or run home real fast, get in bed and pretend to be asleep. You're just devastated. You just knew that tonight was going to be YOUR special night. The night where you finally lose your virginity. Alas, it is, yet again, not to be.

You sprint home, disrobe, and climb into your bed. An hour later, just as you're falling asleep, the door opens and it's Kyle and this gorgeous girl, all over each other. She whispers to him, "won't your room mate hear us?"
Kyle replies, "No. He's mentally handicapped. He sleeps like a rock."
Kyle then takes the woman over to his bed (in full view of you) and proceeds to fulfill her in ways you thought weren't possible. Shattered and shaking, you curl into the fetal position and fall asleep whilst sucking your thumb.........but at least you got to see a good show, right?

You are aggy. Kyle is the SEC. Just because the SEC got laid and you got to watch doesn't mean you got laid. While the big boys lay pipe, you suck your thumb.

Not any of them.

secsecsec isnt as good as the ACC over the last several years....and so what? I wasnt talking about the ACC

Yeah...we were happy with that win. Not enough to make us chisel a fake championship on our stadium wall, but we were happy about it no doubt.

We should all be able to agree on two things. Both Texas and Texas A&M are currently very shitty at football. The SEC has better players than the BIG12.

Anyone who disagrees with these 2 things is lacking.

I actually think you guys have a better chance at winning games than us. I think it is because you play against inferior competition, you guys don't believe that. That part is debatable, which makes it fun. It would be a lot more fun if we weren't both so shitty at football.

Skins on the wall. All that matters. We have some. You don't. So talk about conference affiliations some more, aggy.

True. But those skins have cobwebs. Recent trophy cases are both empty. I do think there is a good chance you guys make the BIG12 a 2 team league again in 3 years or so.

okay, i'll type slowly so you understand-- okie state was really good this year, and yes, better than LSU was this year or will be after 2 more yrs of the o-train. south carolina ISN'T that good, regardless of boom. they're decent. not good. and we agree on the FUTURE of k-state but CURRENTLY purple wizard is there, so they are going to be solid but not spectacular, much like... arkansas. and i like how you knock west virginia, when i've seen them picked for next yr's top 10. not in the sec? yeah, because mizzou brings a whole lot to the table. and son, you're only in because they knew they could play on your insecurities and get themselves and their cockroaches into Texas. hmmm... where did shea patterson and greg little come from? and they ended up at the dirtiest program in the ncaa currently?

in case you couldn't follow along, i was comparing your schedule in 19 to ours this year. however, we don't get THREE variations of lamar on our schedule.

At least you propelled Tech to a bowl which should bolster your overall conference quality.

I believe San Jose State, Baylor, and Kansas were all 1-11. Louisiana Lafayette 5-7, New Mexico 3-9, Nichols State 8-4 (D2). Not that different, but I'll give you guys the edge in cupcake competition. But any team worth a shit wins all 6 easily. Not saying we were worth a shit.

And you are a year or two away from KSU joining the cupcake menu, probably replacing Baylor as they likely get better.

I'm talking about the 4 national championships in the modern era to your 0. Those remain plenty shiny. Lumping the 2 trophy cases in as one is disingenuous. We have titles. You don't.
