Lots of smoke around Jimbo going to LSU. Bruce Feldman and Pete Thamel have both said that he’s at the top of LSU’s list, and their AD Woodward thinks he can get Jimbo. Tiger droppings posters are saying it’s a done deal as well.

I really Can’t see Jimbo leaving Aggie but stranger things have happened. He seems to love being in the lime light and flirting with other schools. The aggie butt hurt would be EPIC if he leaves lol.

He is a king in Aggie land but if he goes to LSU he would be king of the entire state. He’s said in the past how much he loves LSU and Louisiana. His two sons were born there. He is close with LSU’s AD Woodward who hired him at aggie.

Woodward is known for overpaying so I think he’s ready to give Jimbo a blank check even more so than aggie.

I don't think that Fisher is all that as a HC. However, I'd love to see him take the LSU job just to see the aggy meltdown and fit throwing. There is no question that LSU is a bigger stage and bigger opportunity compared to a&m.

Same here. I think he’s a decent HC, but he’s not top tier like Saban, Dabo, Urban etc. I don’t think he ever wins a Natty at aggie, but he might at LSU.

Agreed. No sane person likes living in College Station. If he can get the same guaranteed money or better at LSU then why not go?

You don’t have to be a great coach to win at LSU. Miles and O proved that. I think he would do really well at LSU, way better than at Aggie.

The one thing Jimbo does well is recruit. As far as coaching his offensive system is outdated and I guess he is to stubborn to change it. He's an average run of the mill coach who can recruit, that's it.

Yep! He’s an elite recruiter and runs a good program. But average offensive mind. He wouldn’t even have to try hard at LSU, it recruits itself. Can lockdown the entire state of Louisiana for recruits, there’s zero competition. Unlike at aggie who has to compete with tons of in state and out of state schools for recruits.

Imo LSU lucked into that nc a few years ago before that they were a 2, 3, loss team every year. Those aggies actually gave him a raise when he was already making 7.5 mil. Not even Saban makes what Jimbo does. And college station is a football crazy town they're excited just to know a fb player. They would love to shake his hand just for beating AL. There's no real reason for him to leave. Besides they have a real chance to get even with LSU in Baton Rouge for what happened last time they played there.

Yes he is a hero in CS for beating bama. But he would be a hero in the entire state of Louisiana for beating bama at LSU.

This is not a rumor it’s a fact lol. His initial contract didn’t have a buyout either. Same as sumlins. Jimbo could leave tomorrow and wouldn’t owe A&M any money at all. But if they fire him then they owe him the remainder of the contract.

And now they facilities that are as good anybody else. Seriously. And try no longer play in that eyesore of a stadium. They have a nice on campus stadium. And if you know anything about Baylor then you know it's named after Drayton McLean. However I do giggle when they try to compare sailing to the stadium is nicer than taking Puget Sound to WA games. No. There's nothing romantic about the Brazos 😂.

I'm with you. Aranda's race is "white" but his ethnicity is "hispanic." I didn't realize hispanics were considered POC.

Bingo. Riley has proven himself to be a butthurt pu$$y this year with how he handled the whole qb fiasco, our defense is still crappy he's not worth 7.6 million. Who cares if you escape losses and get to 9-1. When you are 8-0 and continue to move down in the polls there is a problem. Riley refuses to get a hard nosed defensive coordinator because imo he would feel intimidated by him. He's too soft to be a championship caliber coach. I have no problem with him leaving whatsoever.

And of course Texags is speculating that if Riley was offered it was because Jimbo turned down LSU's offer of $12 mil/yr. LOL
