I still can't get an answer and I'm guessing I won't. Oh well. Have a good day fellas

Why do I care? I care because a POS tried to cave a woman's face in and his punishment was being redshirted. I'm appalled that the university he plays for and local law enforcement have repeatedly tried to protect the accused and not the victim. I'm disgusted that your fan base can stomach letting guys like this, and there are a lot of them, represent your school. I'm amused that you think that Texas and Oklahoma are even remotely similar in regard to these cases.

You guys have signed more transfers that were booted of other teams for domestic violence than we've ever had.

I answered your questions. Now provide me the specific cases I asked you for earlier.

The thing I don't understand is why it controls other people so much? If excused some would talk about it 24/7 on here. To me that's weird.

seems like it is you that is obcessing here....

I can understand rival fans taking a little interest in this situation, but why the concern on a regular basis. I'm not trying to argue with you or others, I want a legit answer. Why do y'all care so much? Is it just to troll? Out of boredom? I'm just asking

whoops....there you go again

I still can't get an answer and I'm guessing I won't. Oh well. Have a good day fellas

cant give it up huh?....well, at least it gives you something to do...

DJ as stated I can understand why you take "some" interest in this situation I just don't understand why you are obsessing with it. As for the cases YOU made the comment that your guys rarely get in trouble. That was an absolute false statement as I stated every university has issues. Some cases are obviously more serious than others but all have to be addressed. Drunk driving, assault, etc. I would absolutely love to see everyone here post their criminal background. Lol. I'm not excusing Mixon or anyone else that breaks the law but I do get a chuckle out of some of you guys. If it was up to you some of our guys would get life in prison for a seatbelt ticket

So you can't answer my question? I answered yours.

I didn't Make the statement therefore there is no need for ME to prove otherwise. That's on you.

I think part of your issue is you think a redshirt was his punishment. Completely ignoring the fact that he had to go to court, pay a fine, do community service and attend counseling. And of course millions of people around the country knowing his dirty laundry so he loses his right to privacy as well. If he doesnt make millions in the nfl, this will follow him around and affect his job opportunities for probably decades.

So lets follow this through - Firstly he was never going to redshirt, too good. So being suspended from football for a year is a big deal for a kid like him. If OU kicks him off the team, that's not a punishment at all. He'd have signed with someone else within weeks, and taken a real redshirt year (as in not being suspended from the team) where he could have practiced with his team, studied the playbook, got in workouts with his coaches/team, and actually develop the way players do when being redshirted. At OU, he had no access to those things in year 1, he missed a whole year of workouts, practice and familiarity with the team, coaches, and playbook. I think for most people that is a huge setback. So, in that context, he had to suffer through all that, and he cant play, cant practice, a warm weather california boy that has to live in freaking oklahoma without doing the only thing he came out there to do. I personally probably would have just quit and transferred somewhere else where i'd have had little to no restrictions compared to at OU not to mention all the negative publicity. IMO it certainly wasnt an easy road for him over the past couple years. Bottom line is you wish he got punished harder, which is fair. If he was booted, id have had no issue with it. But do you honestly think mixon himself would benefitted by staying at OU, or would it have been better for him to leave? Just seems to me like being kicked out of OU would have been a godsend for him compared to what he dealt with since then.

If you really think that he had no contact or anything with the football program during that year, I've got some ocean front property to sell you. That is just not realistic. To say that one year away from actually playing games (all the while knowing that as soon as the year is up, you are back on the team) is a punishment for breaking a woman's jaw is unreal. IF that is the explanation that you are working with in your head, there will be no discussion that could change your mind.

Yes you did make the statement. dj said it happens rarely at Texas....you disagreed then you could not back it up. You said every school has its issues as if a speeding ticket is the same as knocking women out. NOPE.

We might a well throw in the towel on this thread. Yankee03 is the greatest internet troll that have ever lived, and it's not because of his intelligence or creativity. He just keeps droning on with the same 3 posts over and over, until you just give up.

If the video does come out I'd hope the views of some would change. If you think "punishment" is being red shirted and paying a fine for wrecking a persons face for nothing then you have issues. If it were your daughter I would assume you'd think this wasn't punishment enough and it's a joke if you truly weren't an OU football fan. If you're the man you say you are I'd bet if your daughter called you from the hospital and told you what happened you'd have a hard time sleeping.

Just saw a story that Heisman finalist Dede Westbrook had a history of domestic violence, a couple of arrests for punching and biting the mother of his children that predates his OU scholarship. Par for the course.

Westbrook joins a long line of scumbag $ooner woman beaters to go along with (recently) Frank Shannon (attempted rape), DGB (pushing a girl down a flight of stairs), Mixon (breaking a girl's face), Justin Chaisson (kidnapping, punching, threatening murder), on and on...

And in every one of these instances the girl had it coming according to POS human being $ooner fans.
OU and Tennessee are the main reasons so many at Baylor are having trouble coming to grips with what is happening to our school. 17 incidents in Waco. Scholz just posted 5 at OU. Tennessee had 6. What is the magic number that requires firing of the President, AD and coach?

As I stated i don't keep up with anything and everything Texas, so of course I had to Google it. I'm guessing not all are seatbelt tickets? If you want to explain you can. If not IDC because well.....it doesn't affect me.

I would rather you guys just say you are obsessed with anything and everything Oklahoma. Kind of the same way a&m is obsessed with you guys. Atleast that way I know it's a truthful response and this argument is over. I doubt that happens though. Once again I'll say this and I won't comment again on the situation. I don't approve or endorse any crime that consist of hitting a woman, rape, assault, etc etc etc. However in the end unless it consist of my family it doesn't affect me in any way, shape or form. That is for the university and Stoops to make those decisions. You think he cares what y'all think? He has booted some guys and kept some guys. No one is gonna have a 100% success rate when dealing with young kids. Have a good day gentleman

I dont know what kind of contact he had, but I can tell you he wasnt at practice, in pads, getting work done. He wasnt studying the playbook then getting on the field and mastering the offense. He wasnt out there earning his spot on the depth chart, getting properly conditioned for the offense or rigors of big boy ball. He missed out on a lot of major development that is intended for redshirt seasons. It seems unreal to you, just because you dont agree with the punishment doesnt mean he wasnt actually punished, especially for a first offense. And no , you cant change my mind, that's not a conversation we are having though. You think he should have gotten punished worse, okay, no big deal, thats a fine desire to have. Nothing to discuss there really, i have no issue with that. I also have no issue with the punishment he did receive. It is what it is, doesnt matter if me or you dont like it.

90 total posts on this thread. 90 total posts on this thread on a Texas Forum.....22 total posts by OU Legacy telling us how obsessed we are to talk about OU...

24% of all posts in this thread were by one guy. One guy telling us how obsessed we are to talk about OU. One guy posting 24% of the time that we are obsessed.

Then again, because the posters replying to this 24%er are from Texas, Baylor,LSU.OU and aTm I guess he felt he had to keep firing off because surely somebody....from somewhere...would finally figure out that "we" are obsessed...got it.

Seems he had a lot of making up to do here...come on man. The minute he walked back on the field he was RB1A beside Perine. Don't tell me he had to work so much harder than any other player on the roster to get playing time. That just isn't true. I don't claim to know all of the details of the event or the events leading up to the event, but all I know is if I was the one who broke a woman's jaw by punching her, I would probably be in jail, my employer would have fired me, and I would have still had to pay the fine, do the community service, and more. Then when my sentence was up, my search for a job would have become exponentially more difficult do the arrest/conviction on my record. Mixon will not have that problem. Because if he doesn't make it in the NFL, some Sooner will give him a job being a beacon of the OU brand

Well him missing his freshman year solidified Perine's status in OU lore. Considering how Mixon was much more touted of a recruit than Perine, I imagine Perine wouldnt have been able to do what he did in 2014 and wouldnt be quite the player he is because of it. That certainly affected Mixon's usage in 2015, which cascades in his usage and development the following year. You cant act like it didnt affect him, other than simply not playing, he still had to earn his way back. Clearly he is extremely talented, and with that level of talent, you will move up the depth chart fast and it can appear easy for some people. But he had to earn his way back on Stoops' good graces, I dont think his time off was easy for him, we dont know what kind of hoops and conditioning and hell he went through that simply goes unreported. Stoops stuck out his neck for him on this so you can bet he wasnt just left to his own devices the whole time.

If it was your first offense, and a real lawyer instead of a public defender, you probably would have received the same charges of outraging public decency as he did. that is a rather common charge for first time offenses and it covers a lot of misgivings. Including urinating in public. Mixon didnt have a job, but i imagine if he did, he'd have been fired. Having been a misdemeanor, he wasnt facing any punishment by the university since they usually are hands off unless it's a felony. So i don't see how you and he would have seen different charges, but I can tell you if you were mixon and you did this, millions of people around the country wouldnt know about it. But with him, that will follow him for a very very long time, especially if he doesnt make it in the nfl. Though being a big time player for a big time program is usually a nice way to network and find a great job after football, he's a california boy, I doubt he settles down in oklahoma selling cars and he doesnt seem like the type of player who will be a coach either. But I have to say with 'the incident' in his rearview, he may not be as much of a slam dunk hire like you think. Anyway, i hope he runs for 250 against auburn.

Now the little punk yankees03/OULegacy just emailed me this: =)roll

Are you seriously this ignorant? Lol. I've posted and others have posted that I'm Yankee for several months. It's not something I tried to hide. You act as though u discovered a mystery. Good grief man you are an idiot. It was so much fun beating y'all down because of morons like you. What a disgrace. The beauty of this? I'll be back if I choose. I can change my IP each time I log in. You can't stop me lol. Be careful though. I've done research and know some personal stuff about you. I suggest you don't mention me again and all is fine. Have a good one

Oh man and we're obsessed??? So first he wants to be on here so bad that he'll change his IP and second he's done research on you. Yeah someone is obsessed alright!

More laughs from this loser: =)roll:eek:

I love it. Thanks for posting my email on the board. Two issues with that though. 1. Mod or not, that's a big no no from the higher ups in rivals and you could lose your privileges over it. I've dealt with this situation before. Email them and ask. You will see. 2. You are enabling me to control the board while I'm banned. You are empowering me moron haha. And yes I'll come back whenever I please. You can't stop it

He makes me think of Steve Buscemi in Billy Madison. Is he 12?

this westbrook thing in Oklahoma is turning into a big deal. Should a coach be responsible for the background checks ??? because bob said " I am not responsible for background checks" or is that a blanket statement...plausible deniability ????

Sooner Scoop is running with a tweet that the staff has backed off of a few recruits of late due to background issues... They suddenly care.
