I told you cats over 2 years ago......

This was going to be a slow motion train wreck of epic proportions.

How do you get handed a 4 game suspension when you don't have an employer?

Wanna know who's pissed about this?

Tom Brady----- 4 game suspension as well.

I, for one, thought he would turn it around. The dude doesn't seem to care about anything. Looks like he may unseat Ryan Leaf (or close to it) for biggest busts in QB history.

Don't forget about the domestic violence stuff that's still pending. The NFL will ding him for that as well. I'll be surprised if any NFL team picks him up. Sadly, I don't know if Manziel will live to see his 25th birthday. The guy is a disaster.

It's like he is too proud to take others advice and he wants to always appear that he's in control and everyone else is ignorant. I hope he gets it together before he's totally lost it.

This is what people need to realize.

His folks ARE NOT RICH.

His old man is a country club golf pro. His momma sells real estate (used to) for a company based in Llano. I've corrected stupid people for years about this- but everyone is a freaking expert. It was his grandpa that had property in East Texas that had timber and oil on it.

His old man even said the other day, when asked why he hasn't put johnny in a headlock and taken him back to rehab-- "he has more money than I do, so he can run faster then I can....".

Johnny signed for what---- 3 million?

I think sometimes athletes like Johnny who won the Heisman have a hard time to come down from the pedestal. In college, his speed and ability to move was an asset but in the NFL they are all fast.He also could have a drug or alcohol addiction to cope with his present reality and uses it to escape the truth of his status,The only one that can change this is Johnny himself,he chooses to be in control or not.

I completely fail to understand why any of y'all hope he turns it around. Train wreck?....Who cares? He was sitting on the winning lottery ticket and he pissed it away. many before him did the same and many after him will as well.DAMNED IF I will spend a second of my time wringing my hands over this loser.

clob, I read somewhere his folks were worth around $50 million.....almost all inheritance. Not sure of the validity.

If this were a horn grad we would all be pulling for him to get his life together. Even if he was a douche supreme. I feel bad for his folks to have to publicly watch their son go Scott Weiland / Layne Staley in front of the whole world while everyone cheers his demise. Sad situation for them.

I do feel bad if drugs do have control of him though. The last couple of years I watched drugs ruin the life and career of a lawyer friend of mine in Corpus Christi. Anyone living down there probably knows who I'm referring to as evidenced by his appearances on the nightly news. His brother was a qb for Texas in the 80's.

Old School....you are wrong. If he had gone to Texas ( should have gone to Texas if Mack could tell a QB from a park bench), but I would have been pissed watching him go downhill which he might have done faster had he gone to Texas. When a guy decides to piss away talent that came as a gift of birth, I am done with them. The sooner they get out of the gene pool the better. I dont pity Johnny, I pity the innocent people that he has or will hurt.

Well you and I can differ. I don't really feel so much for Johnny himself, but I do feel for the family. I have cousins who were raised under the same roof who ended up successful, and the others in and out of prison. The parents can only do so much. And to watch my kid spiral out of control while the media and general public cheered would be crushing.

They probably hope he turns it around based on the concept of human decency. His continued failure benefits no one.

I'm not worried about what he does to himself. Free country. You want to piss away your life, your priority.

What was it old buddy said in that movie? "You want to turn yourself into a greasy spot on a country road? I don't give a sh!t and I don't think anybody else does despite what they say to your face...".

I'm more concerned about the collateral damage he can cause for OTHERS.

Actually clob, his (great?) grandfather leased a lot of land from black folks around Tyler. I think he was one of the guys who would trade them a Cadillac for the mineral rights. Forever. I well remember my old maid aunt talking about Mrs. Manziel this and that. But they would both have been outlanders in a very deep south town. I thought his dad managed a Honda dealership? His mother's family owned a restaurant.

Daddy worked as a golf pro in kerville, momma sold real estate for one of my freaking business partners in Llano...... grandpa had the money.

Mom did real estate, Dad ran the Longveiw Honda dealearship and built homes as a side business according to Texas Monthly 2013

Seems like a lot ITT are butthurt that UT didn't recruit Johnny.

ENGLISH MOTHERF*CKER!!! DO YOU SPEAK IT?!?!?!?!?! dude... seriously.. you are a HORRIBLE troll... nowhere near as good as your mom and sister are...... but you just suck out loud, they actually swallow. ;)
