You do realize if you're going to use that argument, every win A&M has next season against teams that have all but been eliminated from the playoffs means nothing and isn't impressive. That team's title hopes were already gone, so they no longer cared about winning football games. Come to think of it, I think LSU simply stopped trying in that last OT. Didn't want to be there.

Plus, if Georgia is a 2 loss team again in 2019 and it again comes down to people deciding if they deserve to be in the top 4 over a team with less losses, perhaps the memory of a 40 point blowout win over Texas in the Sugar Bowl would do more to sway any opinions than losing on purpose would. If your goal was to prove the playoff committee was correct, why would they change their minds next season?

You don't get it either. Yes, the $EC had a presence in Texas before letting a&m join. However, after a&m joined, their presence got much stronger with number of TV sets captured by televising more games in Texas, which generated more attention on the $EC in the state. Also, recruiting has improved due to $EC teams playing football games in the state and being on TV, using a&m to help garner more attention on $EC games. The $EC is USING Texas a&m to further broaden their footprint. They aren't afraid of a&m because they know that aggy will never be a threat to displace the traditional top $EC teams. How you guys can't grasp this is amazing.

You kept repeating that schtick until not one, but two current/retired refs went on to the New Orleans and Baton Rouge papers and said the refs got it rignt or they were 50/50 calls. The Texas defense was nails against teams with QBs that aren't mobile. It didn't surprise me one bit that the Texas run defense shut down the Georgia running game, Todd Orlando had a month to prepare and is a master of run blitzes and knowing when to bring heat. It's a credit to Georgia that they scored 21 pts.

The only real surprise was Texas being able to run the ball, that surprised me a bit. I knew Texas would be able to pass on them, Georgia has a terrible pass rush and their DBs are small compared to the Texas receivers. The fact that our running game worked lead to less need for Texas to pass.

The BS about them not being up to this game is funny, they sure were up to flapping their gums on Twitter, they disrespected Texas at Every turn. Texas on the other hand came out and punched them in the mouth and they didn't expect it.

Guess what, Texas is going to be a lot better next year. Across the board better.
