Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Losing the battle, but winning the war?)

In my post game analysis: "The offensive line play tonight was an abomination. They got dominated twice by this Georgia defense. Send the Joe Moore Award to a unit that didn't get physically whipped in the two biggest games of its season."

Not only did I do the opposite of what you've suggested, but I was much harsher in my language with them than with Quinn.
Then my bad. Missed it. I was talking about your 10 Thoughts last night. OL was terrible. Quinn never had a chance on most passes more than 5 yards down the field, and I am far from a Ewers apologist. He's had some awful games...but Saturday he mostly had no time to execute and no chance on most dropbacks.

All good here.

The running game hasn't been much of a problem all season outside of the UGA games.
We appear to rank 9th in the SEC in rushing. Our two losses were a result of our inefficient running game. Our running game has been a problem, especially when the competition is good and the game is on the line. Our running game will be the reason we lose in the playoffs.

The running game was a strength in wins over A&M, Michigan, Arkansas,, etc...

It did not show against Georgia in either game.

We’re talkin about playoffs…playoffs. To win the playoffs and beat good teams like Georgia, we will need to run the ball better.

I'm not arguing with you about that.

I'm saying when Texas needed to run the ball to win games this season, it did so in all but one team.

It won't get better if they play UGA again.

@Ketchum
From reading B/S, the prevailing thought is that QE is so somewhat of a disappointment of late and that we are winning despite him and not because of him. It should be obvious to everyone outside of Austin as well then.
Yet the belief is that we should get past both Clemson and ASU by double digits.
Are you following the " despite" idea for these games because are that much better?
F/U questions.
We had no success running against Georgia in two games. How much of that is Georgia? Was Georgia not going to allow us to run, believing QE could not beat them? If so, why shouldn't other teams scheme that way?

a. I don't think it has to be that way. I don't think they win these two in spite of him, but they could if he doesn't play better.

b . It's Georgia.

We can beat any of these teams by 15. Our defenses says so. I’m not losing sleep over this year. He seems to making bad decisions to protect Quinn. Quinn can deal and walk over these guys, but it seems unlikely.

While you conveniently ignore the facts i recited. Stir $hit up. That is your go to.
That’s way too harsh to criticize someone who knows a helluva lot more about the workings at UT than , I’m safely assuming, you think you do. It’s ok to be critical, but be respectful at the same time. That may be better
