Interesting Longhorn Legacy note. In the Texas Tech v. Abilene Christian game last weekend, ACU's QB Rick McIvor threw for 506 yards in their one point overtime loss to Tech. Maverick is the son of former Longhorn QB, Rick McIvor. Solid West Texas roots. This is from the Tech website:
