It's OU week. Usually Scholz walks around with his safety on but this week, it's "weapons free". I'm just waiting for the ND....... it'll happen when nobody's paying attention.

Ok time to be honest. I just don't think we're quite ready to win this one. We have a hard headed coach determined to run a ball control offense, even if we don't yet have all the tools to run it efficiently, and won't even use the best tools we do have.
His whole thing is winning by scoring one more point than the opponent, instead of score as much as we can. It's an effort to protect the defense by keeping the opponents offense off the field. This is fine if you can do it consistently. We can't. This is why we don't just keep abusing defenses with CJ and LJH. He doesn't want to score too fast. When your OL is still a work in progress, and you keep your best RB at third string, you better take all the points you can, however you can get them.
I do believe we will get there. I just wish he wasn't so goddamn hard headed about slowing the offense down, when all it's doing is killing drives, and putting the defense right back on the field anyway.
Anyway, not yet, but we're getting there.
