It seemed like the television coverage was especially underwhelming and sloppily produced. Did ESPN send their B/C team to Atlanta? They literally didn’t show multiple plays because they were talking about the Sugar Bowl getting delayed. They came back from commercial after 2OT had already started and practically missed the damn game winning touchdown.
The announcers ****ed up multiple players names repeatedly, calling Jahdae Barron Johnny Brown whole never mentioning he was the Thorpe winner. I kept waiting for them to show how long the FGs we were about to miss were but nada.
I get that ASU was the scrappy underdog and they played great, but the hype from the announcers was way over the top. Guarantee it won’t get even a fraction of the heat the BYU-Colorado announcers got—because, you know, ‘Texas bad.’
Watched the game at a friends house or I would have swapped to the Craig Way sky cam version.
