Situation has been going on for over an hour & still nobody in custody. Detroit News apparently confirms 1 dead.
I've been listening to the scanner and it's pure chaos. The dispatch lady is relaying report after report of gunshots, suspicious activity, screaming, etc, etc to what must be hundreds of police crawling all over the campus. The police go there--or in some cases are already there--and report back that nothing is happening. At least four reports of gunshots over the past 20 minutes, in four separate locations.
Listening to it all gives me a new respect for the idea of the "fog of war".
Nobody has any clue what's happening.
