NCAA Investigators may need long term lease in Collie Station

One day, at some point down the road, and its going to happen, when aggy determines its time to part ways with Jimbo, its going to be very, very painful financially. This is going to get ugly at some point. Couldn't happen to a more deserving cult.

This is required reading.

Coaches were just shilling money out on spring recruits during unofficial visits..... thousands and thousands of dollars. Players were being required to show for "voluntary" work outs while coaches were standing there giving direction.

Welp, that does it for me. Your $75 million dollar hail Mary has officially sh!t the bed before a single game was played. You dirty muh fuggas just can't play by the rules, can you?

Seriously.....fake news. And i cant believe yall fell for it.

"That a request for a transfer waiver, of all things, could spark an investigation into ONE OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL'S MOST PROMINENT PROGRAMS might seem like an unexpected outcome"

Right there tells you this is fake news LOL

Yeah I laughed when I read that.

SEC schools are the ones who turned Aggy in.

Aggy wanted the SEC Aggy has the SEC

I warned these idiots about how Bama has a direct line to the NCAA

They tried to get Auburn screwed and they got Ole Miss screwed

LOL..... =)roll

1. On two separate weekends this spring, Marchiol told USA TODAY Sports, he was given hundreds of dollars in cash by linebackers coach Bradley Dale Peveto to entertain prospects on unofficial visits. Those recruiting visits occurred, he said, following the April 14 spring game with Zach Edwards, a three-star linebacker from Starkville, Mississippi, and the second weekend in June with four-star linebacker Christian Harris (now a Texas A&M verbal commitment) and Nakobe Dean from Horn Lake, Mississippi, ranked as the No. 1 inside linebacker in the country by Rivals.com.

2.
On the second occasion, Marchiol said, the money exchange took place in the bathroom at Razzoo’s Cajun Cafe in College Station, a restaurant where the team frequently takes recruits to eat. Marchiol said he received $400 in cash from Peveto and that a teammate Marchiol identified in his waiver request was handed another $300 during the exchange.

“You know how you tip people in Vegas? He had the cash in his hand and he like handed it to us like, here (with a handshake),” Marchiol said.

Marchiol said the money went toward drinks and snacks, but he had no record of the cash or purchases made with it and kept whatever wasn’t spent. He said he did not give any of it to the recruits.

3. What Marchiol described, however, was more akin to a full-time job: Four days a week he would show up at the Texas A&M football facility at 9 a.m. for study hall and online classwork, not leaving until well after 6:30 p.m. In between, he described linebacker meetings to review film and discuss schemes that lasted between one and two hours and required conditioning sessions that lasted up to three hours (a schedule he provided showed his group had workouts scheduled from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, but he said they frequently lasted longer).

Didn't read link yet, only the posts here and am confused.
Aggy caught red handed or fake new is fake?

Looks like the decommit season for aggy may start before the L's roll in.

Aggy foolishly tried push it's way to the front of the line in the SEC. Looks like someone was pushed to the back of the line.

Read the Three recruits mentioned.

This is how I know it is coming from the SEC.

I believe it, or at least a version of it. I just hope the ncaa is as toothless as I believe they are. I struggle believing this doesn't happen at all the schools with big time coaches. I probably should be concerned, but I am not for whatever reason.

I did find it odd that he complained about being cussed and called names by the coaches. Is this no longer the norm?

What was alleged in the article was several minor NCAA violations. The problem for aggy is that they are clear cut violations of NCAA bylaws if substantiated. However with some of the new NCAA regulations requiring cooperating with investigations could unearth other violations which would be problematic from a lack of instutional control perspective.

I think you're trying to say aggy was brought in for the media market and opening Texas recruiting to SEC blue bloods and not to take said recruits.

I guess that is what happens when a pawn thinks he is a king and then gets played like a pawn.

I really hope Sumlin has a fantastic year at his new school. No particular reason . . . just a fan of humans in general. . . wishing him the best. ;)

Believe it or not AZ could win the Pac XII south this year. They have a qb, Khalil Tate, who has AA caliber talent. And they are fortunate in that ST and WA, the two best teams in the Pac XII, are not on the schedule. Watch out for the Wildcats.

For me it’s not so much the cheating (paying players) but the high and mighty routine from so many brainwashed Aggie pukes. The honor code, the “best” fans bullshit makes this somewhat enjoyable when it probably shouldn’t be.

This is for those holier than thou asshats that drank too much koolaid freshman fish camp weekend.

Not me. I assumed we cheat. Of course I think pretty much everybody cheats to one degree or another.

My only issue is the coach not using a 3rd party for the cash. They just seems unprofessional and stupid. I wonder if that part was a lie. If he said some flunky or random person gave it to him, I would 100% believe it. The rest of his story seemed likely true.

Processing guys just got a lot harder. Players are incented to take a dump on their old school. The worse the story, the better chance they don't have to sit out. NCAA is so stupid, why incent young people to screw your members? Good way to make your members look for a new association.

The comment was based on Aggy thinking they were going to become UT by moving to the SEC

Sumlin was the fall guy. Truthfully it wasn't Sumlin's fault the SEC refs screwed Aggy in 2016.

He should do well in Arizona. He is a decent coach.
Mike Sherman's OL helped him out more than anything.

Sorry I answered to the wrong reply. I meant to reply the one that said he hoped Sumlin does well at AZ.

My bad
