5* LSU lb/week safety Marcel Brooks has decided to xfr to TCU. I don't know if he's eligible to play this year but if so watch out. With Zach Evans and Brooks the cockroaches now have a 5* on both sides of the ball.

I guess he likes purple because that's LSU and TCU's color. But being a tiger sounds so much better than a horn frog/cockroach. Tigers are majestic. There's no such thing as a horn frog in America the closest you can get to one is in South America. And as Darrell Royal put it all cockroaches do is mess everything up.

To each his own I guess.

As we both know Fort Worth is considered where West TX begins or at least that's what TCU alum the great Dan Jenkins said. Anyway back in the 20's when TCU selected horn frog for their athletic teams a horn frog was a common species in West TX. But apparently it's vanished. I mean I looked into it and all I found was South America.

Now I regards to Marcel Brooks. If you're a 5* recruit somebody is going to want you he's only been in college for a year and he's not injured.

But it does give TCU a couple of 5* players with attitude questions. But then they've never had 5* recruits before so I'm not not surprised they took em. But ol Gary is starting to get a rep for taking in questionable kids. If he can raise their game the Big XII better watch out.

When I was a kid I used to find horny toads in my neighborhood in Deer Park. They are no longer around here though and haven't been in years.

Did a quick wiki search and it's actual name is the Texas Horned Lizard. I haven't seen one in the San Antonio area since I was a kid in the mid 70's.

I use to go out to El Rancho Cima with my son about 10 years ago. I would see at least 1 everyday.
