Once a year. There is also a wildcard option where you can totally revamp your lineup at no cost. That can be used twice a year and is done in the transfer screen.

Just joined. Think I won a week and forgot to collect my $ lol. Hav my kid running the team this season. Hopefully he’ll pay more attention than I typically do.

He has the same no manu rule as I do.

I’m busy as shit at work with 2 kids and another on the way, so how much time is typically devoted to this? I mean, is it kind of like football where you’re on the waiver wire about once a week and just set up a lineup before a game?

I'll throw some dead money into this. I usually stop paying attention to my fantasy team by week 5.

You make one transfer per week (usually) and set your lineup. If you don't do any research (checking for favorable matchups, potential injuries, etc.) then it's a 10 minute a week commitment.
