Serious question--

Because it "looks" like we might pull this out--

If there have been (counting next week) 75 college world series-- and Texas has been to 38 of them (more than half for you math retards) what constitutes an "average" season for our baseball team at this point?

Because-- if HALF the time you GO to omaha-- and half the time you don't-- what constitutes "average"?

Anybody else think that was strange ECU pulling Saylor so soon? Especially for a guy that’s barely pitched and not done very well.

well, the median would be MAKING the cws, if my 7th grade math isn't failing me.

Well. I think 15/75 years Texas has finished at least 3rd. So I’d say an average season is at least going to Omaha. Not going to Omaha is a let down

I thought he threw like 58 pitches yesterday?
Well yeah, but he was rolling along pretty well, and there’s no tomorrow. I don’t I believe I ride him as long as I can if I’m ECU.

Doesn’t appear to have made a difference though, as our bats have gone back to sleep.

Ok--

There have been 75 NCAA tournaments.

Texas has been to 61 of them.

That means .813333 of the time, we go to the tourney.

38 appearances out of 75 CWS means a .5066666 appearance %.

But we oscillate back and forth-- so REALLY-- an average season for us, depending on the year, is EITHER a CWS appearance or a game 3 super regional.

Now- here's where it gets weird.

On a year where we DO go to the CWS-- we average 2.37 wins... but we ALSO average 1.7 losses.

From 5th in the Big 12 to Omaha. Unbelievable. I honestly don’t think this team belongs in Omaha, and feel a 2 and Q coming on, but hell thats better than Tennessee. I’ll take it.

You forget we were number 1 to start the season.....our bats are there its just our damn bullpen.....there were many times I didn't think we would make it this far. Now let's go win this crap!

Was it ‘05 or ‘02 that we finished 3rd in the Big 12 and won it all? So it can happen, I just don’t see it with this staff.

Thanks, you too.

I have a question for the Aggies and Sooners, when you play each other who gets to do the horns down? Will there be a coin toss to decide who gets to do it that game or will both sides do it simultaneously?
Good question! What does a&m and ou do, in the stands, against each other for good natured ribbing? Will the aggy cheerleaders be there? Without the aggy band there, Sooner won't be able to make 3 pointers throwing items into a&m bands tubas, so i can't wait to see.

It's flattering that other teams do the Horns sign upright, sideways or upside down, they're still acknowledging and validating Texas!
