The girls never gave up and showed heart, now our guys on the other hand......

The most heart I seen all season is when Tristian was crying at the end of the game against aggy.....

I'm seeing second round from a lot of things I have been reading. His age is being used against him since he's already 22.

That’s an overrated measure. But many in baseball are archaic in their thought. Lot of old heads that think any change is voodoo lol. Not all scouting departments think that way.

He may slip, but it’ll mostly due to being a two tool guy. Depending on who you talk to he might have a 3rd tool (fielding).

I also don’t know what else is out there anymore and that matters.

According to Kendall Rogers on D1 Baseball, the Texas Longhorns are parting ways with pitching coach Sean Allen. This comes just a day after being bounced from the College World Series against their in-state rivals, Texas A&M, as head coach David Pierce makes changes to his staff.

Here’s hoping he goes out and gets a legit pitching coach.

Thx for crapping on my note. Did you forget the 2 or 3 times the Horns came back in the playoffs? Hell, they made the CWS!!!!!!!!! Get over it arse, and get a new team, aggy
fits you fine!,,,,

I will say I feel bad for Allen a little bit. Pierece gave him a job he wasn’t qualified to do, and then fires him when it predictably doesn’t work out. Kind of a raw deal.

Hey I'm a die hard baseball fan it's my first love actually. I kept up with every game this year and went to a few as well. Congrats to them on making it not taking that away from them... there was a couple of us that didn't think we would make it. 2nd game against ecu we came back first time all year we had did that. We were 0-17 in that dept this year. 3rd game I knew we would spank them due to their lack of pitching and our bats had woken up. We got kicked out quick this year! 0-2 and done! Can you tell me the last time that happen?! I'll tell you 2018! Aggy got their first win in the Cws in a very long time and it had to be against us! If that doesn't piss you off then maybe you need to get your head out your arse. And if you didn't notice we parted ways with our so called pitching coach!

I know they have been long time friends...do you think it will cause bad blood between them? Well let's see what happens cause Tulo needs to be kept on this staff for a long time or keep him in the wings for future head coach.

The job of being a head coach takes precedence over friendship. Rumor is that Tulo is unhappy about some things. He and his wife love Austin, but he's one of the lowest paid assistants in CBB. He doesn't need the money, but it's the principle. Supposedly he was not happy about the job that Allen did, so it's a good thing that Pierce relieved him of his duties. Texas needs to do whatever is necessary to keep Troy happy and on the staff.

The only way to keep Tulo long term is probably make him the coach. I mean I assume a head coaching position or manager in MLB is his end game at some point.

I don’t really see how anyone could be upset with Sean Allen. He had no history as a pitching coach, he wasn’t qualified to be a pitching coach. Given that as a back drop he actually did a decent job. But it’s like hiring a brain surgeon to do your open heart surgery and then getting mad there were complications

Will Pierce, who was the pitching coach last year, now hire a real pitching coach and not meddle? This has Tom Herman type stank on it. Not going to end well. CDC needs to be all over this asap.

Texas seems to have a difficult time evaluating problems with teams that bring in revenue. We can easily overpay for talent in the non revenue sports but Football, baseball, and basketball are harder to pin down.

Correct on Allen, it's Pierce. We have a head coaching problem. I don't think that Tulo is the answer long term. We are at a crossroads here.... what 3/4 years in the CWS yet no championship but our staff has us trending down. We need to get ahead of this... can CDC do it?

Funny thing is that right about now, some top programs are preemptively ponying up money for their pirching coach. The Texas effect has given many a coach a mighty raise without even hiring them.

That is very true. Works in all sports.

Let's see the SEC has won a natty in fb and track and they're certain to have at least 1 playing in the CWS title matchup. I never thought I'd pull for OK to win a championship but you bet I am now. The cow college beat the Golden Domers in an elimination game and they play OK tomorrow. They've been playing at a high level since the Big XII tournament. I can't say those two words 😊 but go sooners. This would be a huge title for the Big XII.

So what you say we're in the SEC now. Oh really? I know a thread similar to this was blocked yesterday. But I hope the moderator and others can see that this is significant about the Big XII's future.
