Official Longhorn vs Purple Wizard thread

Are they putting stupid juice in the Austin water supply? I can't figure this sh*t out.

Mack Brown literally forgets what QBs look like.

We bring in a defensive mastermind to replace him. Looks like he has never heard the word before.

We bring in a QB whisperer to replace that one. Did a brilliant job managing three QBs to a national championship. Looks like a genius in Houston. Gets to Austin, falls in love with the worst f*cking QB since Case McCoy.

What in the actual f*ck? If Shane is that goddamn atrocious that he can't beat that buffoon out, you gotta turn to those stud freshmen bruh. You just got to. You gotta do something other than trot this same f*cking sh*tshow out there week after week. It can f*cking not get any goddamn worse.

And btfw, let me introduce you. This is Keontay. He's your RB. You might want to at least learn his f*cking name you fullash*t f*cking Mensa moron.

Rant over.

Wait....f*ck Kris Boyd.

Now I'm done.

"I think Shane could make some of the pass plays that Sam is missing and it hard for me to understand why he has not even played a down. At least,a series to throw the football."

Because Ehlinger found some tape recordings of Herman incriminating himself in the Urban Meyer and Ohio St fiasco.....think i heard Herman was at a strip club or something.....lol

I d don't care I really don't we won and that's all that counts.

Fwiw the last two times we beat OK we played terribly the week before. Five years ago we played at ISU and won a game We should have lost. In that game We were the beneficiary of bad officiating. Three years ago we had an absolute disaster at TCU. But in both games we came back to beat OK. When it comes to OK forget about the week before we'll be fine.

Had KSU not dropped that TD before the half then it’s a different game. Sam is atrocious and should be benched

I agree about OU. Hell we were 1-4 and beat their ass. It's WVU and TT I'm worried about. We are going to get thoroughly embarrassed if we keep this sh*t up.

Does everyone forget how bad we suck when playing at Kansas St. I’ll take that win all day. They might look like crap against everyone else but when they play us at home they’re a different team.

This is an underdog team. Texas plays best when disrespected. Champions play for the love of the game. When champions have a team down by 19, they relish putting boot on neck and putting up 50+. Texas isn't there atm.

The good news is that the press will crap all over texas this week.

Hold your horses dammit....I was finishing up my chorizo and huevos....

I wasn't interested in seeing your chorizo and eggs before you ate them. What makes you think I'd want to see those nasty sum b!tches after?

Chorizo and huevos are deliciosos. I thought clob was joking about the double connotation of chorizo and huevos.

SC and TCU were supposed to embarrass us too. Y’all crack me up with that sh!t.

There is NO ONE left on the schedule who can consistently stop anybody worth a damn. Ou has played 5 tomato cans, and should have lost to 2 of them.

I feel confident against OU. I believe we win and I won't be surprised if the score isn't close. Their defense is vulnerable and we can definitely move the ball on them. It's going to come down to turnovers and mistakes. If we stay disciplined and take care of the football, we win.

Shane throws long passes more on a rope. Sam throws long passes more on an arc.

Maybe so, but KSU’s defense is hot garbage, and our offense just put up 10 whole points on them.

Ou's defense may very well be "vulnerable"
But can you honestly say that TEXAS will score more than Ou in a shootout?
I hope TEXAS wins.....i hope im wrong and TEXAS runs the ball and shortens the game....while the defense shows up. I watched Boyd get beat like a drum by receivers that aren't even close to as talented as Ou's. Is it wrong im hoping for a bad case of food poisoning for Ou's team right before the game? Maybe TEXAS comes out and scores a quick 14pts before Ou knows it and doubt starts creeping in to the players minds.....but if Ou comes out and gets up by 14pts early.....put the kids to bed early cause i have a bad feeling it will get ugly fast.

Oh, they're vulnerable alright but we are to. The problem is their offense is night and day more consistant than ours.
We have a big fat 0.000% chance to win a shootout with OU, WV or Ttech so we had better shore up our ground game to shorten the game & figure out a way to either hide or backup Boyd.
Every single b12 OC left on our schedule has already put together packages to specifically single Boyd out.
It only gets harder from here on out gentlemen.

I think If Shane went in he may not come out. Maybe herman doesn't want to deal with that. SAM seems like a great kid and is all about the team. He's just not good. Dabos decision backfired but he was capable of making it. He benched a proven vet and we can't even sit a jc QB for a series

OU hasn't played a defense like ours all season. Murray and company will get their biggest challenge of the year. Honestly, I don't think he's taking us seriously because of how easy their offense has scored. That's why he was benched for lack of discipline. Riley knows his head isn't properly focused. That will cost you big in a major rivalry game in front of 80k screaming fans. I truly believe that we're going to surprise him with our speed and coverage ability on defense.

I agree with your assessment but the operative words there were "stay disciplined". Discipline was in short supply today. How many yards did our freaking penalties cost us and how many drives did they kill? Coach Mensa needs to make that a priority fix....you commit a penalty, you spend a week eating Boyd....I mean burnt toast....

We had to run corresponding quarter miles for penalties every day after practice - 5 yard penalty = 5 laps or 1.25 miles.

In the Texas offense, the QB is the x-factor. The QB is required to run and make plays. Shane does not run well. He gets clobbered and then for the rest of the game he falls down in the pocket when the heat comes.

Yep, coach could always correct a behavior problem and a mental lapse problem the same way at practice.
I'm not sure what it's called now but we ran "snakes" for remedial training. Start on the corner of the goal line and sprint to the other sideline, jog up to the 5yd line and sprint back across the field. Keep moving 5yds until you finish on the other goal.
That sucked when you play hill country 2a ironman football. You make more mistakes due to lack of a breather. I got to know our field in fine detail.

I hope you are correct DrT because the opposite is also true. We haven't faced an offense like theirs yet either.
They also have the emotional advantage on their side. They hate Texas as much if not more than they love ou. I've caught 4 of their games on TV this year and in each one players were doing horns down on sidelines anytime the camera would pan over.

Praying for a big W, but quietly hoping we keep it competitive.

Can we talk about that 6:00 minute drive to secure the win??? The entire state of Kansas was ready to erupt in that stadium and all Sam and the Texas O did was make pivotal 3rd down conversions on the ground and in the air. Texas put their foot on Kstate’s throat when purple had all the momentum.

Say what you want about the rest of the game up to that point, but THAT is what a championship team does.

We got the win and that's what matters and that's all anyone will remember. On to OK.
