I met him once. He was buddies with the guys that were there before I got there. They talked about him like he was a great dude, though. I remember that we met but little else. I know his name is pronounced rod-rig. About all I got

Sons name was Rod. Jim was a coach at Comal for a while then the principle at Smithson valley. He lived in Blanco. Whole family went to church there in Blanco. That little bar that opened up on the square in Blanco back in the late 90s was owned by him and his son and some investors.

I was in Blanco damn near every weekend from 97-99. I ran around with a girl from Wimberley and we'd go to Blanco to hang out.
