This game is reminiscent of me playing EA Sports CFB 25 on All-American. I go into a game against a mediocre team I should crush. My guys, who should completely outclass the other guys, play like shit and the other guys play like world beaters. Every time I have a big play it gets called back for a penalty. I barely squeak out wins against subpar opponents.
I know I’m not a football coach, but I don’t ever understand it. Play your freaking game. If you give ANY quarterback all day with no pressure, the odds are on his side that he’ll get to someone open.

Their QB was throwing prayers and they were turning into magic, mainly due to penalties. So my quick analogy is it’s like driving in Dallas traffic with my C8 vette. Even the dumbasses in their Altimas can outrun you if they are crazy enough. Vandy just found a way to keep it close yet you can easily see the disparity in talent.

We have all the speed in the world when it comes to defense. I agree, we needed more aggression and trust our athletes.
Agreed on the sacks. The INTs were just bad luck. I thought he played a solid game overall. Our OL and blitz blocking has become anemic. Penalties were the main killer tonight.
We need to roll out more, move the pocket every now and then

I also hate to see a QB get rewarded for a roughing the passer after he just threw the most God awful pick 6. I’m not excusing the play by Broughton but it’s hard to slow down a Mack truck. The throw was already gone by the time he got hit. That was a huge call. I guess the penalty Gods were returning the favor after last week?? Lol!
