Caution! This place is very dangerous as ya want to take all the meat home with ya, The best in CC! Even though Mr Moody's a AGGSY! You gotta watch him or he will put his thumb on the scale for Texas fans,,,LOL

Have you had the HEB brand sausage? Pretty good for morning, beans, or just on the side. The jalapeño one is the best but they have Mesquite as well.

With Sam Kane's filing for bankruptcy I wonder where Moody's is getting their meat from now.

I heard that he had bought a buncha cattle a year or 2 back and him and his sons been rolling their own...that Sam Kanes got big problems with city, finally got that 2 or 3 million dollar water bill paid , now they got sewer probs

I've tried quite a bit of different sausage, but the best I've ever eaten is Midway in Katy. They have a large deer processing operation and do all kinds of sausage, summer sausage, slim jims and jerky. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out. Midway is located about a mile from Katy high school on old Hwy. 90.

Don't know how old fashioned you fellows are. Penshorn's in Marion makes really good dried sausage. It isn't cooked, just dried, like in the old days. I took a couple of deer in to get processed, bought some sausage on the way out. They don't completely dry it, took another week in the kitchen to get it to crinkle up, let the casing get easier to remove.
