So OU just accepted a kid who was suspended multiple times at ND, kicked off the team & even if he stayed wasn't even in the two-deep.
All ND will say is he violated team rules on multiple occasions. According to insiders, at least one of these violations involved an offense committed against his own teammates, causing the captains to ask the coaches to send him packing. That says a lot.
Why would Stoops even go after this kid when he obviously is trouble (anyone who alienates his entire team is trouble)?
Have fun with that Stoops?

Have you ever read up on the lengths he went to get Dorial Green-Beckham into the program at OU (unsuccessfully) and even greater effort to reinstate Joe Mixon (successfully)?

Since Blankenship isn't appearing on the police blotter I'm pretty sure whatever he did is like an episode of Romper Room compared those 2.

Sounds like sour grapes to me

Sounds like sour grapes to me

For a guy who had 13 career tackles in two seasons & never cracked the two deep?

Most ND fans didn't even know he was on the team. (Including me). He got passed up in the spring by two freshmen EE's at DE which put him 9th on the depth chart.

The ONLY reason I care is because of the fact he alienated his own teammates which is almost impossible to do & unforgivable.

OU can have him. Nobody at ND wants him. I just can't believe Stoops would bring in a locker room troublemaker who wasn't even good.

So yeah, sour grapes. Lol

Yeah Stoops has showed by his win/loss record, he has no clue what he's doing.

Oh, you are one of those? I see. Carry on.

I mean, look at Art Briles' win/loss record? He obviously knows what he is doing....errrr
That makes absolutely no sense. Are you saying this kid has been charged or convicted of some crimes? Your comments indicate that since he isn't on the 2 deep that he must not be much. I think I'll defer to Stoops to make a call on someone's football potential over some jaded ND fan. As far as your comment about Briles goes, Briles is one of the best evaluators of talent and coaches I've ever seen. He obviously ran into some trouble with decisions made at Baylor but from an X's and O's standpoint he's damn good. This is a no brainer for Stoops. Bring the kid in to try to make an impact with a fresh start, if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out.

They have a lot of future criminals on the team. Good gosh what do you kids care? I read on a Notre Dame board he walked out of practice. His dads probably a preacher some of those kids are wild. Heck I may pull for the Longhorns after this Notre Dame Dodill is so bored he post that. LMAO

Kerry Cooks who is a coach at OU, recruited this kid while he was at ND. I'm guessing Cooks convinced Stoops he is worth taking a look at. Who knows exactly what happened at ND for this kids career to end there. As long as he stays out of trouble at OU then I'm good with it.

Why do you guys constantly spout this?

The guy in this thread talked about what he did. So we do know what he did. Hell with Chiasson police reports said what he did, and you still blamed the girl. Same with Mixon and there is a tape floating around. No one buys this BS of "we don't know what happened so back off the innocent little child".

Sure we never know every detail, but you just can't put a blindfold over your head and spout the company line of "ah he didn't do anything that people are saying he did, who are we to question his transgressions....and in 4 weeks you'll be calling him a patron saint".

Actually no. He walked out of a team meeting when the Captains confronted him.
ND won't say why he was confronted, but it wasn't the first time. He was suspended last year also.
What is a Notre Dame Dodill?
And I'm not a ND grad. I'm an Air Force & IUSM grad.
You are barking up the wrong tree friend.

No, but as far as a team sport goes, losing the trust of your entire team is about as bad as it gets for a locker room.
That's my point. I don't care if he is Jim Brown, if he ruins the locker room like he did at ND then it's a problem.

How about some links to back up claims of these horrible crimes he allegedly committed instead of some fan spouting off hearsay? The link provided stated nothing. Keep in mind this coming from the same fanbase who tried to beef up the Heisman Hype for their LB by fabricating some story about a made up girlfriend dying along with his grandmother dying but persevering and playing through it all. Sure, just take it all at face value.

I never accused him of a crime. I said he lost his own teammates' trust.

I said he was suspended twice by ND. That is a fact. I said he was kicked off the team. That is a fact. Brian Kelly said both violations were for breaking team rules.

As far as the "hearsay" of what he did, that comes from inside the program. If you are willing, pay the money & read the pay site on either B&G or Scout. That is where you get the real story of what happens because there are about 15-20 ex-ND players who post there who talk to the current players & coaches daily. In fact, Todd Lyght used to be one of them before ND hired him.
So if the ex-ND players are stating that the other players confronted him, I'm guessing it's solid.
But feel free to believe whatever you want, that is your decision. Why would I care?

Huh? The fanbase fabricated the story?

Now who is fibbing?

No, excuse me the fanbase echoed it. Your athletic dept. conjured that one up, along with your LB that evidently turned out to be a little light in the loafers(allegedly)(not that there is anything wrong with that) Thankfully that crap got exposed along with your team by Alabama.

Thats what the OU fans do.

Justin Chiasson chased his ex girlfriend down in a car after school, and held a screwdriver to her neck and threatened to kill her.
When OU fans ignored the horrid details and spun whatever they could and acted like other things were murky, by the end of it they were blaming the girl because you know what girl in her right mind would dump a football player....she deserved it.

Joe Mixon, hell that girl made it easy for them to spin it.

They just toss enough sh1t on the wall and by the end of it they believe their own nonsense and make their dirty players in to innocent victims and Bob Stoops is Mother Teresa. Fact is, he is way more lax than just about every coach out there. He routinely sells them that RS years are punishments for violent acts against other students (see Dvoracek and Mixon). Or for stealing gas (see Broyles). And they are the only fan base in America that buys that.

Literally NO other fan base has a coach that uses RS as punishment. And its because the OU fans, just like their coach, care mostly about winning and little about how it is done. It isn't a new thing with Stoops. See Barry Switzer. See Big Red Motors. See their history of NCAA probations, especially when around winning seasons. They are more deplorable than most.

Light in the loafers?

First, ESPN/ABC was the network who blew the story up. Most ND fans didn't even know about it until they mentioned it on telecast & then told the story against MSU & UM. Then they did a full segment before the Stanford game.

Second, on campus & in the locker room it was a joke because the other players saw him with lots of girls even though he "had a gf."
Check out his GF now. (Model Jovi Nicole). Don't be that guy who believes everybody is gay just because.

Sidenote: exposed by Bama? I believe ND went into Norman that same year & put up a 30-13 on OU?

Plenty of people speculated he was gay, don't be naïve. OU was not a good team that year. Notre Dame won fair and square. ND played in the Championship game and got exposed by Alabama and Te'o was totally taken out of the game. I don't care what excuse you throw out about who knew what or when. The timing of it was suspect and the whole deal was a bizarre as anyone could ever dream up.

Yeah, I've noticed they are quick to defend a guy they literally know nothing about, other than he is transferring to their team.

And now Manti Teo is gay.

And the ND fan base, errrr, ND athletic department, created the fake gf to get Teo the Heisman.

And ND lost the title game to Bama in 2012.

All of which have so much to do with Blankenship getting kicked off ND for multiple suspensions for violating team rules?

Bless them. They will follow their team anywhere.

Not a single person speculated he was gay until after the catfish story came out. And not a single person had an ounce of proof, just spouting off possibilities.

What excuse did I throw out? What timing?
See, you are just saying things now.
Just because YOU think some crazy conspiracy went on doesn't mean it did.

You are just saying random things as if they are facts.

ND did not create Teo's gf to boost his Heisman hype.
ND fans did not create her either.
Manti Teo is not gay.
I did not make an excuse about anything with Teo or his timing.
I did not accuse Blankenship of a crime.

These are all things you have just said, & none of them are true.

Yeah, I've noticed they are quick to defend a guy they literally know nothing about, other than he is transferring to their team.
Not defending the player. Defending Stoops decision. I'm sure he's set rules in place and he will have a tight leash.

And now Manti Teo is gay.
The allegation has been there for years not just being exposed now.

And the ND fan base, errrr, ND athletic department, created the fake gf to get Teo the Heisman.
Yes it's a known fact that many people believe this was generated to help win him the Heisman. The timing was awfully suspect not to mention the whole weirdness of the whole situation.

And ND lost the title game to Bama in 2012.
Not only lost but got whipped.

Exactly

Just for grins I am posting the whole Te'o fake girlfriend fiasco. It's really something else. http://deadspin.com/manti-teos-dead-girlfriend-the-most-heartbreaking-an-5976517

NDA let me get this straight. You are a Nd fan on a Texas site asking about an Oklahoma player? Not trying to trash you but dude man up! How about going to soonerscoop and asking this question? I'm sorry dude just seems like a douchebag thing to do

You know what they say...you can't spell douchebag without OU

what I find more interesting than a ND fan debating a player OU took on a Texas site is that during the back and forth OU fan and ND fan are debating whether an ex ND player is gay on a Texas forum....

proof positive that FB fans are among the best in the world outside of Congress in completely wasting time about everything.

Never heard of the guy, dont care that OU signed him, he'll probably never play. Cant hurt to add depth though, and sometimes a fresh start somewhere new can be a good thing. Either way, no big deal.

ok since this a Q & A for OU guys, I have a question....and it is relevant and serious. Because this was such a damned back and forth pissing match last year about this time......How is Lampkin looking?

Jsto is an Ou hater more so than a Texas lover

Not even close.

Love the my alma matter. Don't hate OU at all.

Just not a fan of the trolls that live here. Football season can't come soon enough so you infesting this board with daily nonsense might actually talk football for once. Funny how you can come here daily and dish it on a UT site, but get so butthurt and can't take it when the truth is pointed out. No one makes you live here.

And na, I don't like people that blame girls when they are kidnapped and their life is threatened.....just because you think the kidnapper might be able to play ball. If UT was recruiting that kid (say like Chris Collins the LB rapist) I would wholeheartedly want them to drop him like his actions deserved. Total opposite of you.

Sorry if that makes you uncomfortable so you feel the need to change the topic and attack me. But it shows your weakness.
