This joke of a committee has got to stop putting ou in these games. Time and time again they prove that they simply don't belong. Rushing for <70 and giving up close to 400 on the ground clearly showed that last night.
And Texas has got to get good again. Our suckage has made the rest of the conference actually look good (and actually start thinking they're good) which is a total farce.

Texas. Had nothing to do with the conference outcome. Iowa state made certain of that.
In the committee's defense, everybody else played themselves "out" (Notre Dame, Stanford). I really like Stanford's play this year but, they had 2 losses. We will see how they play against a very good Iowa team today. Perhaps Michigan State are the ones the mostly shouldn't have been there-Freak win over UM and two buzzer beater wins against Iowa/tOSU.
That doesn't even make sense in reference to my post. What I am saying is that all of this recent (albeit artificial and fleeting) success enjoyed by other teams in the conference is a direct result of Texas not getting things done since 2006. The conference is actually weaker than it ever has been, but people don't seem to see it until teams like ou get exposed the way they did last night.
For 1 game this past October, Texas put it together and showed what they ought to be doing every single week. There are no more excuses as to why Texas shouldn't be far and away better than the weak representatives this conference has been trotting out in bowl season.
Further reason as to why the playoff needs to start with conference champions, so that weak conferences like our are weeded out before embarrassing themselves.

Did you see how the stats in this game were the exact same to their loss to us? In both games, they had a pitiful 67 yds rushing, only 17 pts, gave up 312 yds rushing and 2 100-yard rushers.
