I used to live in Atlanta (but not during the above run) and also have some family in Houston and know a couple of people there (seriously my Houston connections aren’t that numerous). Both teams set the standard of excellence (Houston still is on a run despite their elimination today).
ATL- 14 straight division titles, 8 straight NLCS appearances at one time, 1 World Series title
HOU- several division titles 7 straight ALCS appearances, 2 WS titles
While Atlanta had more consecutive div titles, they only won 1 World Series title. Making NLCS was also “easier” due to fewer teams in existence then and a different playoff format. I think the Astros run was (is) more impressive but really respect what the Braves did. What does OB think?
