Probably not but I’ll take him as a depth piece. You know we’ll probably be near the top of his list. Maybe Coach Flood and a change of scenery will do wonders for him.
I think you take him if he’s available. He was a 5 star for a reason. Give him to Flood for a year and see what happens.
Insiders are saying UT is unlikely for Brockermeyer. TCU appears to be the most likely destination. His Dad and Coach Dykes have a strong relationship and he actually coached with Dykes a few years back which I was unaware.
Gerry Hamilton and Bobby Burton both saying that Wednesday/Thursday of this week will likely have some of the bigger portal entries from other schools since compliance departments have 3 days to enter students into the portal, and coaches typically use that period to attempt re-recruiting their players.
Hearing from sources that Evan Stewart will transfer to Texas sometime this afternoon and by sources I mean that I made it up

With the mass exodus of Aggy LBs that should be a red flag for Ant Hill to stay as far away from College Station as possible.
I think our OL will be very good. Our RB will be good unless we get injuries akin to what prompted the Rojo QB to RB conversion. WR will be good
We need the QB position to show serious progress
We need a RB to step up and be the man
We need the OL to take a giant step forward
We need JWhitt to come back badly and for X to stay
We need a second option at TE in pass game to develop
We need Neyor to be healthy
We need to see continued progress from the Edge players
We need someone to fill in for the lost production on interior DL
We need J Ford to come back badly
We need Hill to sign badly
We need another LB to step up
The LB position is hurting with the loss of DMo
We need a safety to step up for Cook -- dude was the balls this year
We need 2 CBs to develop
Basically, we are really close, but also REALLY long way away.
Jake Majors is a 2 year starter at center. He's serviceable but we could definitely upgrade there.
Sounds like Hill is about a 90% chance. Sark has an in home visit with him on Thursday so it's looking really good.
With all the money available out there today including options with NiL this poses an even more interesting dilemma. Do I take the chance of going pro as an undrafted FA or stay in college and improve my brand with NiL incentives? For Whittington I think it’s an easy choice. But I’m not his agent or advisors.
Interesting it now becomes a competition between NFL and collegiate NiL for these threshold players. In this case I can see how UT’s NIL channel might think keeping ole whit around is worth the investment.
Sounds like Texas feels pretty good about hill.
As far as portal help
LB, WR, secondary are probably the main focuses. If they could find a pass rusher too.
We landed the Stanford Punter today so that takes care of that.
I may be in the minority about Whittington but I hope he doesn’t come back. I think some new fresh blood at the position will do some good. Guys like Red and Thompson deserve a chance.
Yes, you would be in the minority. Whitt runs great routes, catches in traffic, is a playmaker, blocks well and gives everything. He is a dude I would hate to see go bye bye. We need him back
