Just thought your tourist pukes should know...... we'll have plenty of water for you to float down, pee in and lose your obligatory cooler full in........
That is all......
I used to be down there a couple times every year. Now I prefer the Frio. Wayyyyyyyy less crowded
I see what you did there, good strategy. The Frio is a dump. Nobody goes there because it is too crowded and everything is flat and ugly. Only tourist traps and drunks over there. The Guadalupe is much nicer.
Fathers Day Weekend has been a madhouse for the last 10 years or so. Unbearable crowds. So I'm told.Frio is way over-rated. We definitely need to get the word out. I think the worst time to float on the Frio is the third week in June.
You know Camp Warneke was the place to be when I was in high school. Thanks Schlitterbahn for screwing that deal up.I'm a river rat. Been floating the Guadalupe and Comal since high school and still go a couple of times a year. I'll be there on Memorial Day and July 4th weekends this year. Glad that we're getting some much needed rain.

Well, ya'll might not have to worry about Schlitterbahn being around much longer....
That is crazy. I'm not a lawyer, but I'm not sure how or why the owners of Schlitterbahn should be criminally charged. Should they be held liable for the young man's death? Yes, but to be charged criminally, I'm not understanding that.
A good friend of mine just left Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels recently. He was involved in the park maintenance end of things, structural maintenance. He’s told me some things that will blow your mind. Jeff Henry isn’t right in the head, literally. He has financial issues, getting divorced. His company Henry &Sons forked out millions along with Schlitterbahn and that Consultant to that kids family. From what I’ve heard his other 2 siblings have wanted him out of Schlitterbahn for a good while.Well, when the boy that died was the son of a senator......... you know there's two sets of rules in this country...
I’m friends with a Henry family member on social media and their page has been eerily quiet lately lol

If you recall the construction yard he has at the corner of IH35 and Ruekle Rd used to be full of steel, all kinds. A couple of acres crammed full of it. If you go by there now, it's damn near all gone. About a year ago when his money issues starting floating around town, he had his guys start cutting up all of that scrap steel trying to scrape together money. We might know the same people. He's always been a bit goofy..... after 15 or so years of being around him and his family on several occasions, I just labeled him in the "well that's just the way that dude is" category.
I have a feeling this is not going to end well for Schlitterbahn. No bond for Henry, they must consider him a flight risk?

It's no mystery that he and his patrons love the hippie lettuce. No big deal in my opinion. Where this is all going to get interesting is once his lawyer is able to establish that the father if the boy, a state senator, used political influence to get this portion of the proceedings done, it's likely they go after him for corruption.I have a feeling this is not going to end well for Schlitterbahn. Yeah, not sure if murder charge will stick but you’d think negligent manslaughter charge would have some legs. It's no mystery that he and his patrons love the hippie lettuce. Look, it sucks what happened to the kid. It does. If I remember correctly, schlitterbahn has paid out tens of millions in damages thus far the the family. I get that it won't ever make them whole. But charging a dude with murder over a water park ride? Where were the state officials and THEIR engineers when this ride was being built? Oh, I know where they were--- off spending all that contractor money from the building costs of this place....
