So, the thread title might be a bit mis-leading, you're probably expecting the actual analysis. Instead, I'm asking for the analysis. Prior to the season starting, we were presented with all sorts of analysis regarding year 1 versus year 2 results relative to eventual National Championship success.

10 wins was a major sign of eventual success, conference title contention I believe was another. Does that mean strictly regular season or does it include conference title games?

I was hoping someone (on staff or otherwise) could take a look now that we have concluded the regular season. Where do we stand? We made major strides during regular season play, that is undeniable. Does Herman's record trend in the right direction? Do we need to wait another week before running the analysis?

Full disclosure - I'm a CTH and CDC fan, they aren't inseparable in my mind. I just want to re-visit now that we're at the end of season 2.

Thanks in advance, okay, cool. Hook'em.

Read my post "through my eyes" and you'll see a pretty accurate prediction (if I do say so myself).

Very prescient on a number of fronts, well done, especially on the Sterns front despite what you were hearing in terms from other trusted sources. You trusted your eyes and they told you the truth.

I'm curious however about the outcome relative to NC success etc. - how well a coach does in year 2 versus his career etc. I remember a lot of data prior to the season starting, I'm really very intrigued to see where we're at.

I predicted a 10 win season, Undefeated at home and playing for the Big 12 title game. I predicted a loss to someone we likely were not expecting to lose to and one other loss.

i predicted we would beat USC, blOwU and WVU. Thought we would lose to TCU. I had guaranteed wins on Tech, and Maryland, the two losses we should have won last year.

When we lost to Maryland, I figured this staff was just another bad decision, and i was ready to give up on the season when we barely beat Tulsa. Then we started to actually play well.

I considered Okie lite as a trap game loss. Very very surprised by the loss to WVU, I thought we were more focused for that game. That was probably the biggest surprise for me. Actually the second biggest, the biggest was the growth of Sam Ehlinger as a QB. He has gone from a liability to the best player on the offense.
