You missed it.... the why is $12M annually. That's the same as Belichick... dude never coached in the pros and he's demanding Belichick's salary. I hope he fails at whatever he does.
I am thinking we dodged a bullet with this guy. A 100% dedicated Urban Meyer is worth $12M/year. An Urban Meyer that is more concerned with personal health and family? Not so sure...
'Wow- that is what Belichek makes, with Carroll next at $11m- hard to believe they would give him that considering he has no NFL experience.
@jshorn so you think Urban would have been a bad hire if he would have said yes? Not trying to be a smart ass, just asking opinion. I was also wondering when all the Urban talk was happening if he would be 100% committed to being the same level of coach that we saw at Florida and Ohio St.
I didn’t at first. When I heard how much he was freaking out over his health and the pressure it made me think he was damaged goods.

Jimmy Johnson is one of the best coaches of all time and he went 1-15 and looked like a complete fool his first year+.

I personally think this is a smart play on his behalf. There is smoke around Ryan Day taking an NFL gig and I think Urban is sending a signal to the powers that be at Butt-Eyes Belmont that this is the starting point of him being hired back.

He can want in one hand and shit in the other. See which ones fills up faster. No one is going to pay him anywhere near that to coach in the NFL. He would get paid more to coach college. That’s just a joke.
Judge Judy sure as hell doesn't care; she's getting $70 million per year just to be an asshole on afternoon TV.

True story, my buddy moved down to Boca Rotan, FL back in 2010. His first year there he sends me all these pics, girls on the beach, houses in area, exotic cars... just money oozing everywhere. He sends me this picture of this massive yacht parked in one of the harbors, says I bet you can’t guess who this boat belongs too? I’m thinking Tiger Woods or someone like that. He finally tells me, he was a bar having some drinks and starts talking to a guy who is a captain of said vessel, and tells him that behemoth of a boat belongs to none other than Judge Judy! Friend couldn’t believe it, looked her up to find out how much she is worth and ****ing blew his mind. That old lady makes some serious scratch!
He’s close friends with the Jags’ owner. Whether or not he wants to coach there isn’t going to come down to a money negotiation/fight.
