I just go back from Jax, it's a shit hole, Level 1Urban likes North Florida from his time in Gainesville.
Jax is one of the worst jobs in the NFL.
How is it full of yourself to say "this is what I'm willing to sell my time & expertise for"? Every last one of us who have a job are selling a product. That product is our time & talents. We get to determine what that time & talent is worth. If a company is willing to meet our asking price, then they get our time & talent, while we get their money. If they are unwilling to meet that asking price, we keep our time & talent, while they shop for someone else's time & talent. That's basic capitalism. And there's nothing arrogant about it.I'm getting a little tired of Urban and his act.
He's a great coach, but he also mighty full of himself.
Why? I don't follow. The more the rumors of his demands are true, the less we should be pissed at CDC
Urban is the Assistant AD at Ohio State. He doesn't need to "send a signal" about his asking price.I personally think this is a smart play on his behalf. There is smoke around Ryan Day taking an NFL gig and I think Urban is sending a signal to the powers that be at Butt-Eyes Belmont that this is the starting point of him being hired back.

Was his time or talent not worth what Texas reported to offer? If the “rumors” were true, it would have been the most ever for a college football coach. How is it full of yourself to say "this is what I'm willing to sell my time & expertise for"? I doubt he made his decision solely on money. At the end of the day, we all have boxes that need to be checked in order to take a job. Texas didn't check all the boxes. Maybe Jacksonville will. All I know is that the wealthier & older you get, the more picky you become. I don't take offense to Texas not being the right fit for Urban or him viewing another team as a potential fit.Was his time or talent not worth what Texas reported to offer? sincere question
I’m willing to do for a lot lessTo be fair, I would also like 12m to coach the jags.
I think that was the plan all along. He never intended to go home with us, but knew we would drive the price up.Jags owner: “thanks a heap, Texas”

Agree. I think we dodged a bullet. But in all fairness if Matt Rhule gets 9 million at Carolina. Urban definitely deserves in excess of $10 million.I am thinking we dodged a bullet with this guy. A 100% dedicated Urban Meyer is worth $12M/year. An Urban Meyer that is more concerned with personal health and family? Not so sure...
Is this the thread where we justify missing out on Urban Meyer by making snide or downright pissy remarks about him?
