Three-star DL Joseph Mbatchou made his way to Austin over the weekend as the Texas coaching staff continues to double down and make a push for the Florida verbal out of the Peach State. In speaking with sources connected to this recruitment, the visit to Texas over the weekend was an eye-opener for Mbatchou. There is a strong feeling that the Longhorns have jumped to the forefront among teams aiming to flip Mbatchou this fall.

Mbatchou saw his offer sheet multiply over the past month and change as the 6-foot-6, 285-pound DL has hit his stride this fall after just picking up football in the spring. Texas is beginning to trend up with Mbatchou, who is set to catch games at Alabama (Sept. 28), Georgia (Oct. 5) and USC (Oct. 12). over the next few weeks. We view Texas, USC and Auburn as the biggest threats to the Gators as it currently stands.
